Ha ha, yes, scared me there too.
It was totally confusing for me too. I only remember them showing poongae's face on Ming's side helping to bring some bags or something in last sunday's episode. Now he's full fledged and castrated, that's dedication right there. I know he's only doing it to help SeJong bring Ming down and all though. I'm liking these latter episodes.
Oh, and in the previews, the very last scene with an older man in red shouting, isn't that that guy from Dae Jo Young that used to say "Blasted bastard." a lot? Man, if only I'd watch that show more or paid attention I'd have known his name but, I'm still in newbie form.

I didn't see (or didn't recognize) the man you're referring to, Linda, but on the Chicago board there is a topic with the name of that character from DJY - but since I don't like spoilers I haven't read it yet.....

Ah ok, thanks nonetheless. And after seeing him tonight, I think it is him; still can't remember the name for nothing though.
I really could do without that Crown Princess.
Once a rat always a rat. That guy that used to work with Malseng is once again involve in controversy. And Manli, he's gotten so disgusting to even look at.

wiki.d-addicts.com/Kim_Hak_ChulOkay, this is the actor that played Heuk Sudol in DJY - the Chicago board mentioned him as I said in my previous post - to me, he doesn't look familiar and his list of shows doesn't have Sejong....is this the guy you mean? Is my memory that bad?

At this point( unless it is a n elaborate plot vs. Ming & the book is a phony), Choi manli is a traitor for giving the new weapon tech stuff to the MIng envoy. That is what happens when a person believes in his ideology so much that he cant see right from wrong.

well, I'm hoping it's an elaborate plot as I sort of liked Choi Manli......and what's with Gim Jongsuh still hanging with Jo Malseng - after Dami died, he seems to have changed....
Getting back to the Ming Scholar/Heuk Sudol, today I watched some snippets of Dae Jo Young on youtube....wow, I saw a lot of familiar faces - one of which was the current Crown Prince's tutor who died recently - he was one of Li Kaigu's men in DJY. The pictures I've seen of the actor that played HS don't look at all like how he looked either on DJY or this drama - good make up I guess....but it still seems odd that Sejong isn't mentioned in his list of dramas...but I guess it's him or he.....

Yes, Mara thanks, that's him!
Jongsuh said in not so many words that he wants to learn all the dirty tricks even if it means learning from the enemy. It seems Malseng is going soft and Manli's the new Malseng. I remembered the squinty tutor guy too because he was just as squinty in the parts I'd seen him in from DJY; but his facial expressions were so annoying, I'm glad he's out of this one.

Don't feel sad, Latina, I only saw maybe 30 full episodes and then pieces here and there.
I sure hope it goes smoothly for SeJong's men.

Last night was confusing for me, if Choi Manli didn't give to the Ming guy the book, but a blank book why they want him out? ,

Gotta admit, I'm really enjoying these latter episodes and both the crown prince and his brother's faces. Yum .

Bah, I thought the Crown Princess was going to commit suicide. She turned herself in and no doubt goody-goody King Sejong is going to pardon her. I wish this part wasn't in the show at all. Sejong has greater and more interesting issues to deal with like further developing the phonetic system. Minister Hwe has liver cancer? Boo, he's going to die soon then.
