grace, I think it was from the time when he finished tutoring HK in that country cottage that he returned to Paris....not sure if that was four years or not but it was a couple.....

Yup, am having tons of fun. Just watched Sunday's episode - weren't those guys chasing Chanwoo the uncle's thugs - the ones who chased him down the stairs and called him names? I really thought they were after him, not his boss. They both work for the same head lady....am I confused again....lol?

It was so dark in some of those scenes last night, I really didn't know who was who. We also had another 4-5 year jump from last week's 1 year. Time is flying but then again there are only a few weekends left. I hope they didn't kill Chanwoo's boss, he was one of the better ethical characters. I see Boss lady is eyeing Chanwoo for her daughter..lol...little does she know her daughter already knows and likes him. I like the soldier/lawyer friend he's funny.

I'm watching it on a d/l from that Vietnamese or whatever site - you gave it to me, I am quite sure, grace - and it is not only dark but somewhat pixilated....lol...
I didn't think there was a real time jump....at the end of Saturday's episode the wedding started and then on Sunday they came back from the honeymoon, right?
Yes, his boss does seem awfully nice.....
The lawyer guy was always sort of funny - he and Chanwoo get along nicely.
Chanwoo must make a lot of money - he set up the BIL with a little music lesson business and he has his own studio in Seoul...as well as a car...he probably bought a lot of stuff for the family house....I guess he is getting ready to become the financier in Hotelier....lol....

LOL...Yes, he looks like he's getting closer to the image I knew of him in Hotelier, wait until he starts wearing glasses!!
I guess the jump had to be before the wedding and I missed it. C was still in physical therapy and couldn't walk on Saturday, and General was about a year old, now he seems 5 or 6. It was nice seeing part of the family at least happy and laughing last night.

the time stuff is confusing though - I agree the baby looks a lot older - more than the time jump....lol....and it's nice that everyone seems happy for a change.
I'm glad those two finally got married....and did you see his father at the wedding reception - he does the same scratch the nose thing....lol....

There are a lot of good things about this show. It's nice to see a family that truly loves one another and can show affection, which you don't always see on these shows. OK, the gangster family is kind of foul, but they're gangsters! I like that people have friends (nobody every has a friend in the "novels"--just relatives they may or not be really related to. Well, except in the "sewing factory" part of the story, anyway). I like that the rich boy is really a nice guy, not a cookie-cutter creep. I don't know why Chanock was blamed for Chanhyuk's tumble. Shouldn't he have waited until she was ready to go to the park, if he's not supposed to go by himself? Anyway, for the time being, I'm liking it better than "Eunhui," although of course, Eunhui is perfection herself!

I agree, Poodlepal. This is much more enjoyable than Eunhui.. It is near the end so it should get interesting.

I just caught up - I am really liking this as well - I agree, poodlepal - it's good to see a more or less functioning, happy, loving family and friends.
When this first came on I was thinking bad thoughts about such an old drama but it so far has turned out to be excellent imo and, as dodgerman said, better than Eunhui for sure.....
Still don't understand how Chan-woo's company and Mr. Lee and BIL's company are both bidding on the same project when the Chairlady is the boss of both - or maybe she isn't...but she did seem to have a few meetings with Chan-woo's boss....
I will be thrilled if CW is able to beat out the men who beat him up....
So CW may now tell Sukjin that Chan-hyuk is alive and sort of kicking.....right after Hyo-kyung proposed to him....

Did Chanwoo really think that his lie wouldn't be found out - after all it is easy enough to find someone's phone number particularly when he works for his mom's company....I see why he did it, though - he doesn't want all the crap to start all over again.
So will Sukjin tell Hyokyung - I sort of think so as he is a really honest guy and he knows deep down, I think, that she still loves him.....
Jungnam told Chanock to paste back her hair....geez, gimme a break. She looks nice like that - not an ajumma any more....
So it looks like the family lives in a suburb and has their own house all to themselves - I guess Chanwoo helped them.
So 3 more weekends.....

I have a bad feeling that this will not have a good ending. . .couldn't find a spoiler (which I wouldn't put here even if I did), but people (on message boards, in reference to the show) have said stuff like "Oh, I have fond memories of those old tear-jerkers" etc. Hopefully, all our tears have been jerked from the accident and there will be no more, except tears of happiness. I like this family a lot--they don't deserve any more grief.
I will not think it it an unhappy ending if Hyokyung and Chan-hyuk don't get together. She really wouldn't be happy if had only a disabled artist to support her, and her other boyfriend is a nice guy. I'm on team Suk-hee for Chan-hyuk.
The last two episodes were on the slow side. I stayed in and didn't walk the dog with my mother so I could see them, and I could've just watched the last 10 minutes or so of each.
I love the short hair on everybody, although it makes it hard to tell them apart. It's now the early 90's--I don't remember that being a trend in America then.

poodlepal - I haven't decided yet if I have a good or bad feeling about the ending...lol...I had read a spoiler which I think was part of the little blurb in the cast listing - and that didn't come to pass so now I don't know. Interestingly almost all the little intros say that Chanwoo also likes Hyokyung but gives up his feeling for Chanhyuk since he is the elder. Except at the very beginning I really never felt that CW had feelings for HK....and that was when they were quite young.
Yes, I wouldn't have any problem seeing HK with Sukjin - isn't Suk-hee his sister - these names can be difficult....lol...
And Shinja can be with CH but I don't think he would go for that - he thinks he is too much of a burden....
Yes, the ladies all do look nice with short hair - I thought HK looked great when she was in Paris....

Two things that were mentioned in all the blurbs about the show have not happened and I don't think they are going to happen. There are only 6 shows left and I cant see anything drastic occurring.
