Last night's episode was really good. I'm sorry but am I the only one that guitar man creeps out?...I find him very disturbing, and does he not have another pair of pants to wear except those red sweats... It was nice seeing a happy part with them laughing and dancing, this show is usually such a downer that seeing that made it bearable. Yes, Mara I think Casino guy is going to take him "under his wing" and either pay for school then make him the casino lawyer or put him up higher in the casino business. That guy took a likeing to Chanwoo from the begining.

It was good last night--I didn't recognize Hyokyung with her blunt cut at first. Why do the "Americans" always speak so odd on Korean shows? They speak with the cadence of language tapes. Maybe it's so Koreans who understand a little English can sort of follow along?

grace - I know what you mean about GM being a bit creepy - my mind goes back and forth about him - I just figure he is an artist and is a little odd....he could use a new lounge suit or whatever it's called....lol....and seeing him in his boxers was not fun...
poodlepal - I agree - most dramas are like that with English/Americans and they always have subs in Korean.....

yes, they use the most goofiest "american" people in all the dramas. Actually I think the ones they use are the same ones over and over again. I can recognize at least 3 of them being every English speaking person in every drama! I liked Hyoky's hair also, I may just get mine cut like that, after seeing the Beatles last night, it brought back memories and that's the way my hair was...lol...
GM scratching his butt and walking around with his droopy drawers really was NOT a pleasant sight! UGH!!
And...Chanwoo was at the beginning of his career in these episodes but is more fluent in English (although I couldn't understand half the things he said...ha...ha..) then the modern actors now days.

Guitar man has creeped me out since he first showed up. The best scene was Dongpal, Shinja & ChooChoo dancing around the campfire. The scene with HYoKyPokey & Chanwoo was sooo sad. I feel so sorry for both of them. As for Chanwoo speaking "English" to the guy with the gun, I didnt even recognize it as English at first. Th cadence is syntax is all off as it is in every drama where someone tries to speak English.

I wonder if Chanwoo has sold his soul to the casino owner because he is paying for his law studies....I don't recall hearing anything definite....
Don't tell me Chanhyuk is going to hide from Hyokyung after she made that long trip to his base....
Chanock is taking a tough line with GM - good for her!
I'm still liking this drama - the old ones seem pretty good....I have seen Autumn in My Heart (2000), Winter Sonata (2002) and now on Summer Scent (2003) - of course all of those have had some birth/parent confusion - First Love is the only one that doesn't....

This drama isnt depressing enough?? Now they bring in Chanock being pregnant and maybe having problems. CHan Hyuk is a fool to hide from HoKyePokey like that. I feel so sorry for her.

So a few month time jump tonight - glad Chanock's baby is fine.....at least there's something good going on - and Chanwoo passed the first part of the bar test - good for him!
I can't believe Chanhyuk never saw Hyokyung or read her letters....and how miserable does he look...
She obviously didn't get on the plane - how long until her parents find out....

Glad to see a helathy baby and not having to suffer with 7 months of doubts. I think this has 60 episdoes so we have to get to the "big thing" which they mention in the description of the show. I have a feeling that this is going to be a show where no one ends up happy.

Chan Hyuk is a moron. He constanly spurns Hyo Ky Pokey and when she finally walks away, he goes running after her cab. Will Chan woo ever find out that Sukhee likes him and is Sukjin's sister ??

It looked like Chanwoo finally talked some sense into Chanhyuk at the end of last night's episode....thank goodness....
Yes, how dumb to run after the taxi - twice he did that since he was in the army, I think.
The scene with the whole family around the dining table was so nice - Changun (sp?) meaning general is perfect as it has the same Chan as the rest of them.....
Why does everyone keep pairing up Chanhyuk with Shinja? She liked him from the beginning but he was never interested in her other than as a friend.....

Hyokyung is one of the most foul people I've seen in K-dramas. She's very, very self-centered. She knows that Chanhyuk will likely get killed or hurt if she continues to see him, but she doesn't give a hoot. I'm sure on some level she's doing this because she "loves" him, but how selfish.
Chanhyuk himself, I think, has a touch of the problem Chanock does. He doesn't seem right in the head. I mean, jumping in the sea over torn-up tickets? Did he think he could tape them together? And that the airline would take them?
I feel bad for Chanwoo. He is the only one in the family who seems to have normal functioning intelligence. The mother must have been smart, it's not coming from the father's side.
It's good to see so many heroines with short hair, at least!

lol....poodlepal....however, if Hyokyung gave up on Chanhyuk the drama would be over....
I see what you are saying but I think she believes that eventually her parents will have to give in - they always seem to on these dramas even when they are so against the young lovers....
I didn't think Chanhyuk was going in after the ticket - I thought he was just so in despair as well as having drunk two bottles of soju.
As far as Chanock - I am wondering if her problem, whatever it is, is over-rated. A couple of episodes ago the father said he was surprised that she was doing so well with baby care. And she always seems to work and of course do all the chores for the men....and she can read. I bet if they were not a poor family she probably would have gotten help when she was young instead of not going to school, and would have been in better shape than even our Anna....;-)
