Well, our third TV Novel.....let's start with a positive outlook.....one good thing is that on the asianwiki site it says:
' "TV Novel: Samsaengi" takes over the KBS2 weekdays 09:00 time slot previously occupied by "TV Novel: Love, My Love" and will be followed by "Eun Hee" on June 24, 2013.'
So maybe this is it for TV Novels......

BUT its still 120 episodes...It will finish sometime Nov, I guess that's better then 175 episodes of people lying to each other left and right like the other we just finished. I'll be looking forward to something modern day after Samsaengi. I'm having cell phone withdrawal with these 70's dramas...lol...

It seemed pretty straight forward to me, for a change. Doc has sick baby - his mom goes to some kind of fortune-teller or whatever - she tells Granny to get a decoy baby - the young man, a distant relative, just got a baby dumped on him by a woman with whom he evidently had a one night stand, and that baby becomes the decoy. The war comes and they evacuate and the young man, 3 years later, is bringing the two little girls back....right?

That makes sense to you? An evil woman brings in a "decoy" baby so that the poor baby will die, presumably from the evil spirits, saving the rich baby. The war begins and the poor baby's father winds up running off with both of them, correct? Or was he the rich baby's daddy?
So now it's years later (maybe 1955 or so) and the girls have been together with the poor (?) guy the whole time and did anyone miss them?
Anyway, from the very mild spoilers I was able to find (not worth hiding from anyone, really) the show is very similar to "Love My Love." Nice girl, not living with biological family, who grows up excelling in traditional Korean crafts (as all nice people do, apparently), bio daughter vain and shallow and spoiled. Sound familiar? Please, please, let's not have her fall in love with her brother, or decide that her traditional Korean craft is more important than any man. We need a happily ever after.

I think it was the poor baby's father who ended up walking through the fields with both little girls at the end....the rich father/oriental doc was still searching for them....

Oh boy - another drama of lies....lol...the poor baby's father substituted his baby for the doc's baby and then he dumped the doc's baby with the married woman with whom he had the one night stand...
Familiar actors - the man with the kids - he was in one or more historicals - I remember his voice...and in the preview, did I not see what's her name - the kitchen maid who tried so hard to get pregnant in Bokui.....

I got caught up in my crocheting and forgot this was on, so I missed a bunch. I can tell you that Ginseng dad is the annoying blacksmith from Gwanggaeto, can't miss the voice like you said Mara, nor those teeth.

Anyone having problems with the subs being so damn small? I can hardly see them especially if they are on a light background.
I was surprised last night when he left the little girl there, I thought he was a nice guy...who could do that to a child? Now he sees his daughter grow up a princess but the poor other little girl that he basically raised is left in a hut with nuts. I have till ep 14 downloaded haven't taken a look yet, may have to just for the subs.

I think I'm going to pass in this drama, to me is a mixed of Dear Sister (child abused) and Love My Love ( sisters that are not real sisters), I will watch it again in a week to see what happened
