Well, we still don't know how Damdeok got from the cliff to the wooden cells on wheels......
And wasn't tonight like Dae Jo Young old home week? ;-)

LOL@latina and he's only 34 in real life. The Prince with 9 lives. He'd make a nice vampire.

Mara, all we need now is Bu kiwon, Li Kaigu and Xue Rengi, ha ha!! And I don't think we'll ever find out just how Damdeok the Magician survived that in one piece.
The former Shin Hong looks radical with that high top hairdo. I can't take him seriously now lol.
Gees, Latina and Myoko, I won't forgive you if you keep badmouthing Damdeok like that, Hahaha!!! I thought the same thing about him being a vampire when he was nursing Shin Hong or Seol Doal?

This drama is getting to gruesome for me. I read that King Sejong drama didn't got good rating because it didn't have a lot of action scenes, I guess this drama is making up for that... I recognizes some faces but still I cannot remember of which drama... LOL, I never thought of Damdeok as vampire...

Lol@linda
I'm not savage but I prefer a lot of action versus talk, that's why Iron Man 1 bored me stiff lol. I appreciated the Great King Se Jong still. Most of the actors are from Dae Jo Young, latina.

Myoko, you watched Iron Man? I tip my hat to you. I just read the comments on imdb and decided to skip it ha ha.
Ok, back on topic lol, I decided to rewatch the first episode and realized I missed a vital part. I noticed that there was a much, much older looking Damdeok on the throne with a sword and then writing something with a huge paint brush. But how could that be when he only lived to be 39?

well, Linda, I think he became King at 18 years old, but now the actor look already old, so to making him to look is his thirties at the beggining the scene that you're describing he looks very old...

Maybe he developed liver disease and it aged him rapidly.

Hmm, I dunno. With the ways this is going, I'm wondering if it's going to be mostly fictional like they have done with some Historicals in the past.
I'm disappointed with that dog fight because 1. Damdeok didn't kill the bastard; and 2. Damdeok's shirt didn't get torn off. He's still so trusting of everybody. I know it's a good thing to look for the good in all, but not in situations like those man.

Damdeok's shirt didn't get torn off. lmao I don't know if it's intentional but I find that overall this show is sort of on the comedic side.

I read on the Chicago board, I think, that this drama is based on a comic about King Kwanggaeto rather than straight historical fact....
I'm tired of the beatings and physical fighting - the battles are okay with me but not the more up close and personal stuff.
I thought we did get a nice close up of Damdeok's chest at one point.....hard to believe he could think the slave trustee guy would really be on his side.....

Ah, a comic. So it's safe to not take this seriously then cause Seol Doal already ruined any chance of me keeping a serious face when he's on screen lol.
I rewatched the fight scene and it was a decent shot afterall but... I feel the same way about the battles, Mara, I want to see some fighting for the advancement of Goguruyo(sp) rather than everyone and their fathers/brothers wanting to kill Damdeok. Didn't he kinda resemble Li Kaigu in some of his close-ups tonight?
Myoko, you know, I've been noticing his eyes have that smudged look going on but I definitely saw something on Prince Fishface's eyes.

A lot of them are indeed wearing it. Maybe someone's a fan of Jack Sparrow and Pirates of The Caribbean. Just when you think Damdeok is in the clear, someone new captures him! I also wish that the battles were less personal.

I saw Damdeok wearing eyeliner last night, I hope is Maybelline. I'm getting tired of everybody wanted to kill him, and nobody can brake one of his nails, hahaha.
