Just watched ep 17 - good ending.....I like the way Seonyu gets things done....
So now Taejong's college friend is going to ask for more or else do something, I guess...
Forgot to say that in last night's ep, I think, Taejong's mom said to herself something about Granny looking familiar - that's an interesting little clue about future events...
Plus that ridiculous backstory that Jihui's mom made up about Taejong's mom - hanbok maker - I think she watched too many dramas...lol...

I certainly am not looking forward to seeing TGI Friday's when I visit Seoul....I can't stand that place because of an incident I had at one of their restaurants in NYC years ago - I am good at holding grudges...lol....
Anyway Seonyu is making things happen for sure....

They should drop the revenge subplot and just have the two mothers-in-law. They are hysterical together. How I wish I were the inheritor of a file cabinet full of recipes and the maker of a hanbok. Thank God I don't have a giant snake for a son.
Is dodgeman away? He's not mad because I said I wasn't annoyed at some of those plot points, is he? I didn't mind the lack of a security camera as much as the lack of a trip to Staples to copy the adoption papers (or court. They would have to be filed, wouldn't they? Where's Suim when you need her?

I'm here, watching & not mad at all. There is just little to say. You know the bad guy is going to get away with everything until the last episode when he will be caught, forgiven and redeemed.

lol...I didn't think dodgeman was mad either.....
So tonight - ep 19 - we hear about a new character - Gijin (sp?) son of the aunt and uncle....interesting.
And exactly how does Seonyu figure out where to be to run into Jihui and her mom....does she have ESP? Another hole...

Finished ep 20. Do people in Korea know how to record a conversation?? Once time when the good guy confronts the bad guy when they are alone and the bad guy threatens them and confesses, I would love to see them record it. Oh, but that might shorten the drama and it couldnt be dragged out for 100 episodes!!

Haven't seen 20 yet, and I keep falling asleep so I missed Gijin. There are quite a few plot holes coming each day.
My prediction for the final episode (which I could easily cheat and watch, but I'm trying to be good)
5 years later. Seonyu: Come on, Sarang, let's go visit Daddy and Mommy. Sarang: Where's Mommy? Seonyu: She's dead, but we'll visit her burial mound. Sarang: Where's Daddy? Seonyu: Daddy's in the mental institution. He cracked up after he hit Auntie and Uncle with the car and killed them both. He killed Mommy, too, more or less. But we forgive him because he said he was sorry. Well, let's get going.
Scene: Mental institution. TJ: I'm going to get up and dance around the dandelion fluff. Seonyu: Aww, that's so sweet. (TJ dances around some dandelions for a while, then slumps back into his wheelchair). Sarang: Do I have to go back to the orphanage? Seonyu: No, I'll take care of you from now on. Here comes Grandma.
Dalneyo: Oh, I'm so sorry I sent you to the orphanage. I love you. Let's go visit Uncle Gijin and Aunt Taemi. Seonyu:We can't. We're visiting his half sister and her family today. They are just so nice! And Wuhyon is getting his doctorate. Who knew he was a genius the whole time? I hear Jiseok is coming from the States today. Dal: Oh, have you made up your mind? Will you marry him or go back into the order?
Seonyu: Yes, I have decided. . . . (Ends abruptly)
Thank you for watching. Here are some scenes of the cameramen!
Well, that' s my guess! No idea if they'll find the orphan or if TJ actually kills anyone else, but I'm expecting he'll go full Cha/Sa pretty soon.

Well, nobody has much to say about this drama! Fell asleep in episode 21 yesterday. So far my favorite episode is the one where Dalneyo wore a pineapple on her blouse.

Finisehd 21. You know TJ is going to get his warped way until the last episode & X-Nun Girl will be foiled at every try she makes to unmask him.

I just finished ep 22 - I'm okay with this one - it is going a little slow. Why couldn't Seonyu just tell Jihui the truth that her sister was dead and Taejeong was involved.....they make everything so complicated.....
My favorite character is the uncle - the slow one not the Herb Dad one...lol....he says exactly what is on his mind and tells it like it is. Today at dinner for one and the earlier episode when Aran tried to bribe him with juice to tell her about Jiseok's biological mom....too funny...

Love him.
There's a little pretzel logic going on here. Seonyu/Maria let Jihui think she was TJ's ex-girlfriend. Jihui remembered she was a nun, so when Seonyu told her the truth, Jihui didn't believe her? Because first she lied, now everything she says is a lie?
. I think it's going too fast. Already Seonyu told the new Mrs. Taejong about the dead girlfriend, "dead" baby, etc. They already had the wedding. Where is there to go after this? IMO, they should have stretched this out for a few more weeks.
I'm assuming there will be some sort of business deal shenanigans and Seonyu and Jiseok will unite vs. Taejong and his mother, and eventually cause him to get fired. But I think breaking up the marriage (or trying to) should have been a big turning point, not a little thing they did on episode 22.
So far so good overall, though. Hopefully the loss of 50 episodes will keep it a little tighter than Melody of Love.
Has anyone seen "What Happened to My Family?" I found a Youtube feed that came in normally and episode 1 was pretty good. Check it out if you get the chance.

.....Has anyone seen "What Happened to My Family?" I found a Youtube feed that came in normally and episode 1 was pretty good. Check it out if you get the chance. We did consider that for our daily drama except it is an hour instead of 35 minutes....we could re-consider when we finish this one....if you are sure you can view it okay....

I highly recommend "What Happens to my Family". It's currently at episode 43 of 50. It's the top rated weekend drama right now with over 30-40% ratings.

I would be fine with What Happens to My Family being our next daily drama - as I said before it is longer....more like an hour but that's not a problem for me....and you all have to figure that out for yourselves...;-)
It would work very well for me to know in advance as I will be in Japan when this one finishes the first week in May. So I would be able to download the eps of the new one that I would miss before I leave since I don't know if I can access the relevant websites there (or have English subs....lol).
Getting back to this one, I watched eps 24 and 25 on Amtrak on the way back to NYC....at first I was thinking there might be a time jump as things seemed to be stagnating and Jiseok was leaving for the US...but then Taejeong (sp?) arranged the fake food poisoning and it seems Jiseok will not be leaving so things are picking up a bit.
I am wondering still though about the baby in the orphanage...was that a red herring or will baby be back at some point. I guess we are about one-quarter through....
