I saw ep 11 as well a bit earlier.
Taejeong dragged Jinyu from her little house into his car - then at some point she insisted on him stopping and she got out and he drove off. It was then that she got hit by the truck, I thought it was....Taejeong heard the noise but didn't go back immediately but his mom was passing in a cab and she got out and more or less delivered the baby. By the time Taejeong got back to see what had happened, Jinyu was dead and the baby was gone....hope that helps....
Wuhyeon is no one's brother now - I guess he was the brother of Jihui's father who is deceased as his mom is Granny so no blood relation to Aran.
Happy New Year to you and hope your aunt is okay.....

Just saw ep 11--How is it that the cops have no CCTV of the accident and what happened afterward? The policeman seemed to know that the truck caused the accident but nothing else--no TJ, no baby being delivered etc.

lol...dodgerman, CCTV...too easy....
Watched ep 12 - so Taejeong's mom is substituting a fake watch for the real one - btw, an obvious Rolex...even without the logo. We saw another substitution (cufflink) in the TV Novel with this uncle who was herbal dad in that one...lol....

I hope Taejong doesn't go completely evil ala Sa and Cha. . . I notice that the daily dramas are getting much heavier than they were 8 years ago when I first started watching. Prison, suicides, crimes--you didn't see things like that in The Bizarre Bunch or Pure in Heart.
My aunt needs a liver/bone marrow/cornea transplant, but since she was found in an orphanage, nobody knows who she is actually related to. I was all set to get tested, on the off chance that my unknown parents are actually related to hers, but I got upset and began running a fever, then I was hit by a car while walking in the middle of the street and needed a liver/bone marrow/cornea transplant myself.*
*Actually, she had an outpatient lumpectomy and seems to be recovering well, but we're waiting on lab tests. But that's pretty boring.

Geez, I read it quickly and thought it was serious.....don't scare us....but then lol....a good one as usual from you, poodlepal..... Right, now that you mention it although in my memory they all sort of run together, there didn't seem to be so much heavy stuff. In our first TV Novel...Bokhui, right? The guy who helped her was sort of a gangster and her brother got beat up, I think, but no real big deal... Hope your aunt has a swift recovery.

Poodlepal, Hope your Aunt is OK. This is going to be another one of these kdaramas where the bad guy, TJ, like Mr. Cha & Mr. Sa wont get caught until the last episode. Brace yourselves for the long haul.Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!
Watched ep 13 - TJ might be a creep but he is not that bad - he didn't kill Jinyu.....of course, he is lying now so as not to be associated with being at the location where she died. I assume that will be found out eventually....
I'm starting to like Jiseok - at first he seemed like a spoiled brat but now he seems to have matured a bit - he was really sweet to Seonyu I thought.
I love the uncle - he just says whatever comes into his mind....there are a lot of comedic aspects in this one....helps to make the more boring parts enjoyable...

Just watched a double-header of New Years Eve and New Years Day episodes, 13 and 14. I hope that Seonyu isn't going to throw her entire nun career away for someone who's not really a murderer, just a nasty, self-absorbed person. Still, I understand the desire for revenge. There are ex-bosses I still long to run into someplace and let them have it.
What do you think? Do you think that TJ really loves Jihui, or is he just after the managing director's position? I can't tell. She loves him, no doubt about it. Based on previous shows, I am going to go out on a limb and predict that she will go bad, like Piano Girl or the Mr. Sa's Biological Daughter/Decoy Baby, who both started out OK but turned later on. I think even the one who sent her rival to Russia was nice very briefly, IIRC. Sorry I don't remember names anymore.
As to the progression from light to dark: When they used to have the KBS drama of the night, they were all relationship dramas. Once, on Likable or NOt, a selfish son-in-law almost disconnected an IV from his comatose father-in-law, but he didn't go through with it. There were no murders and only an occasional death off screen. There were transplants and of course, comas, but no crimes. Smile Donghae would also fit in this category.
High Kick had the spies and the girl in the witness protection program who faked her death, and Bokhui had some very dark elements but no actual murders, and no revenge or crime solving subplots. Since Samsaeng, they've all had them to some extent, with the worst being Mr. Cha the serial murderer. I don't think that subplot helped Melody of Love--it would have been a better show without it, and with more emphasis on the singing and love stories, in my opinion. Angel's Revenge is all about revenge, and so far it seems like the better show. I'm actually very impressed by the writing, so far. I just hope it doesn't go all scheming boardroom drama on me.
My aunt is OK. I took her to Samsaeng and she gave her some herbs for her pain and anasthesia side effects. Well, I would have if I knew where her practice was! Gee, her daughter must be about 34 now, huh?
Happy New Years to everybody.

Episode 14-- Did you notice that when Nun Girl confronts TJ in his car & he shoves her down, after he drives away and she is crying on the ground, there is a swastika over her shoulder in the background? ?

Episode 14-- Did you notice that when Nun Girl confronts TJ in his car & he shoves her down, after he drives away and she is crying on the ground, there is a swastika over her shoulder in the background? ? You don't miss much, dodgerman, do you.... From wikipedia's page on the swastika: ".....countries and regions that were historically influenced by the culture of China, such as Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore and China itself, the symbol is most commonly associated with Buddhism. They are commonly found in Buddhist temples, religious artifacts, texts related to Buddhism and schools founded by Buddhist religious groups." I see it all the time on Japanese maps showing temples... poodlepal, I was thinking the same thing about Taejeong's feeings for Jihui....wondering if it's love or just greed for a better position.....

Finished this weeks' - ep 15. In actuality it wasn't Taejeong's fault that Jinju died. He did take her out of the car but only after she insisted that he stop. I re-watched it and the truck driver - now deceased - definitely ran her down. Probably she wouldn't have lived even if the ambulance came immediately. But of course now that Taejeong just keeps lying and having alibis that aren't that necessary he is just digging himself in further...
And what about Granny - won't tell the grandson about his mom unless he comes to work for the company....you would think he could hire a detective to find out for himself....

I finished this week as well and there are plot holes big enough to drive the dead guy's truck through. 1- No one noticed that there was no body or remains of a baby at the death scene. 2-There is no CCTV on that corner when there is all over Korea 3-TJ just walks into driver's hospital room, again after Nun Girl sees him, no CCTV 4-Young guy should hire a PI to find Mommy 5-The police didnt take the watch with TJ on it for evidence--what about the evidence chain???

Well: #1.There was a case in the US where stupid cops assumed a baby died in a fire, when actually she was stolen by the arsonist. They never found any signs of a body, but nobody suspected anything. Fortunately they finally found her (and made a Lifetime Movie starring Carla from Scrubs). I will accept for now that it is not too farfetched that they think the fetus died in the fire. In reality, I don't think her body would be that burned beyond recognition, but I'll go along with it for the time being.
#2. I've never been to Korea. I'll take your word for it. There isn't CCTV on every block in the US, that I'm aware of. A student of mine lost her brother and they found the "killer" (actually a hit n run driver) through CCTV, but that was in the commercial part of town. I don't think there are a lot of them in Bayonne. I will accept for now that they were out of range or that the camera on the bridge was down that day or whatever.
#3. This probably would not happen in the US, they are stricter about visiting hours, that's for sure. I just want to know how TJ knows whenever someone is talking about him. Is he psychic? And why does nobody ever see him? He arrives to eavesdrop on every good conversation.
#4 Yes he should. I wonder who she is? My guess is that promiscuous barmaid, Dalneyo. If she's someone who shows up later, I hope she's played by Park Haemi or the woman who played the stepmother on Pure in Heart.
#5 The cops are not taking this seriously. They think they are grieving, hysterical nutcases and are treating them as such. That detective is not doing his job well, but it's not that implausible. As far as they're concerned, it's a simple car accident, not a homicide.
So, while these things are improbable they are not bothering me much. Yet. Not like Plain Jane Eunhui being chased by every man she meets or Nari and Deulim being Broadway stars with those thin, nasal voices.

Seonyu is too dumb to live. Do they not have copiers at the convent? Why would she walk around with the original copy of those adoption papers?

Seonyu is too dumb to live. Do they not have copiers at the convent? Why would she walk around with the original copy of those adoption papers? Yes, I thought exactly the same thing....it's not like this is a 1970's TV Novel.....everyone has a copy machine.... So I guess now she will change into that femme fatale that shows up in the opening pictures...it took me a while until I realized that is she un-nunned...as dodgerman said, I think....
