Just saw 101. This has to be the stupidest show ever. Even the fart jokes on High Kick made more sense then this.

I liked High Kick! I remember fondly the Christmas episode where Santa and Rudolph had a fistfight in front of all the kids. If High Kick 3 loaded properly, I'd recommend it for our next show. High Kick 2 had some sort of weird tragic ending.
Getting ready to watch 101 in a few minutes. I saw 102 a few months ago to cheat on the ending, I thought it was pretty good, but it's the next to last episode that really sums it all up.

Not to get political, but this is why cops put people in choke holds, leg irons and cuffs. What idiots! I feel sorry for the actor playing Taejeong. He must get sick of doing such a one-note performance.
Do they have any dramas any more without a murder subplot? All the ones from Bizarre Bunch to Carl the speed skater (excepting High Kick 1) had some nasty and catty characters but no murderers or deaths. Actually, Dear My Sister and Hanbok girl didn't either. Starting with Samsaeng, it's one evil person after another. Even Melody of Love had that stupid framed and sent to prison subplot.
I guess very dark dramas are in even over there.

This should have been called Stupid & Stupider. Other than the 4 TV novels we saw, this is the worst. I started with Pure in Heart, Your are My destiny, Happiness in the Wind, Jolly Widows. The Road Home, High Kick, Smile Donghae I think I got them all--I cant even think which I liked the best. They all were too long and had flawed plot lines.

Poorly researched, this show was. Don't ask me why I'm talking like Yoda. "You moved in together, so it's the same as being married," says Sr. Maria. Uh--what convent told you that? The Catholic church is much more liberal than they have the reputation for, but this is a bit much!
Overall, if I had to divide them into two groups, good and bad, I'd say this was pretty good. Remember, an American show is 25 eps a year, so a 100+ Korean drama is equal to a 4-7 year show. All shows of that length have a couple of plot twists that don't work, and this had fewer than most. If it hadn't been hijacked by Ms. Julia at the end, and they focused on the marriage of our two protagonists a bit more, it would be better.
Good: Bizarre, Pure, Likable, Donghae, Samsaeng, High Kick (though flawed), Angel's Revenge--time will tell if I move it to the average column, but it wasn't bad
Bad: You are My Destiny, Eunhui, Hanbok Girl--I think Eunhui and Hanbok Girl (Love My Love?) are the worst. The Road Home and Dear My Sister were bad, too, and Melody Of Love is approaching it. Boola Boo! You two are sisters!
Everything else was OK.Let's hope that Love and Secret bring us a lot of comas, amnesias and surprise parents.

It is Over!!!! 5 and a half months of crap. Golden Cross was the only show I saw where the bad guy actually doesnt repent and comes out of jail meaner. Poodlepal, I agree with the way that you grouped the shows except for Sameseang which i did not like. You also forgot Jolly Widows which was average and Happiness in the Wind which I liked --Miran was a great bad girl. I though High Kick was dopey but it gained a star for Park Min Young.

You guys have incredible memories....all these dramas run together in my feeble brain. If I look at the dramawiki page which has an ad type picture with the whole cast together, then sometimes I can remember the plot...
I think this one was not that great as compared to some of the ones you mentioned....as said by both of you a lot of flawed characters and certainly no angel.

I'd put Happiness and Jolly Widows perhaps as high average, and High as the Sky as maybe low average. I can remember the main plot of every show, but not the subplot. High Kick's main plot was poor, but some of the episodes were funny.
What was the show where the young guy fell in love with the painter with cancer? Was that the one with Miran and the little boy? How about the one with the writers, and the one had the teen daughter she had to hide from her boyfriend so he wouldn't be humiliated by marrying single mom. I should make a matching column and give a test on it, LOL! Except I don't know the answers myself!

I'm pretty sure the young guy and the painter/school principal with cancer was Happiness in the Wind.
I don't remember the other two you mention - the writers - and - teen daughter...sorry....
lol I would definitely fail a matching column test.....

Happiness in the Wind was with the little boy living with his Dad who falls for a cute girl--Obok. The bio Mom Miran comes back and wreaks havoc. Do not remember painter or cancer. the only way I keep track of them is in a spiral notebook with a short plot summary.

asianwiki.com/Happiness_in_the_WindMaybe the flyer for Happiness in the Wind will refresh your memory. The teacher/painter who got cancer is on the blue balloon and the young kid who liked her is in the red jacket on the leaf. I don't remember all the relationships. That's a great idea to keep a notebook, dodgerman - wish I thought of it ten years ago... ;-)
