oh no, I saw that Sammy got kicked out, what happened tonight? Was she wrongfully accused to making the brat sick or something? Saw brat in bed as the tall Doc went in to check on her.

Linda, yes, exactly Mr. Sa put the poison herb in the curry after telling Samsaeng that Geumok wasn't eating until later - however, Geumok came into the kitchen, saw the curry and ate some.....
Plus Mr. Sa bad-mouthed Samsaeng to the doc saying Samsaeng wants to be Geumok, does her homework, wears her clothes, takes her meds...etc. Most of those things Geumok pressured Samsaeng into doing.....
I hope this gets better soon - someone needs to slap Mr. Sa for sure and quick.....

I'm enjoying this one so far--hope it stays good when the inevitable jump forward occurs. I still don't know why Mr. Sa said his child died. Are we to believe that the "decoy baby" wouldn't work if the poor child lived? So he had to say the child died so why? So everyone could just chillax about Princess's health? Wouldn't it just make more sense for him to bring both children back into Doc's house, since they are all living together? Or even just say that he sent his kid back with her mother? The pretending a kid is dead when she isn't lie is getting old, and it's not necessary here, unless I'm not understanding the rules of evil spirits properly. I think he wanted his daughter to have a good life when he came back after the war so he switch the girls. If he comes back with both children Doc might figure out who his real daughter was, so he said the other baby died, end of the story for the Doc.

How much worse would either girl's life be, though? He's living with Doc, so his daughter would be living with Doc, so it's safe to say that the girls' life would be comparable more or less.
My guess is that he hates Doc for some reason, and wants to see his daughter suffer a horrible fate. Perhaps he's mad because he was asked to give up his daughter to be killed by evil spirits? I don't blame him for that, but still. . .
I'm avoiding spoilers for this one, but the one I did see suggested that Mr. Sa is the villain of the piece. Hobbit Ginseng Man-in-the Woods is just a low class, bad husband type. He apparently satisfied his wife in bed, LOL!

poodlepal, I don't think he was asked to give up his daughter - Granny asked him to look for a decoy and it just so happened that he had the baby dumped on him by Ginseng Wife so the timing worked out.....I don't know why he should hate the doc - he is a poor relative, right? That's what Granny said I think.
Tonight I almost thought he was going to tell Geumok the truth or more truth than he did.
I think Samsaeng would be well rid of that whole crazy household - it sort of looks like she will end up with Mr. Sa's friend, from the preview.....
The boy, whatever his name, is Dongu, or something - he is turning out to be a real sweetie.....

The Doc is clueless. After the nanny tells him that the sweater was the one she made and after he sees the guilty look from Geumok about the medicine, he should realize that if it isnt Sammie who else could have poisoned Geumok???

lol....dodgerman - I guess the Doc just can't understand why Mr. Sa would do such a horrid thing....since he doesn't know the back story......I guess we will have many episodes until the truth is revealed....lol....

So nobody knows that Mr. Sa had a child? That makes sense. I guess in 1950s Korea, he would lose respect if anyone knew he had an out of wedlock child, especially with a married woman.
Many, many things don't quite make sense, but it wouldn't be a K drama if it did!

Yes, poodlepal, no much make sense, i think when Mr. Sa came after the war he was ready to gave up her daughter to the Doc, he didn't knew that he will able to find him, I don't think he knew Doc will ask him to live with them...
is Insu(Mr Sa's friend) the owner of the Pharmacy???

So...last night it seems like Ginseng Man had a little compassion for Samsaeng. At first he was harsh, but then seemed to soften as he was giving her advice. I'm wondering if it was sincere or he was hoping she will make more money.
I smell a love triangle between Samsaeng and the two boys. I'm guessing the fake daughter will get angry when the one she likes goes after Samsaeng.

Two boys and two girls, all of them straight, I'm assuming. (Just kidding, this is a K-drama set in the 70's, LOL).
In the last one, we had two boys and two girls, but it ended up with one boy and girl not married to anybody and one rather unhappily married couple of convenience. What do you think will happen here? A: Each girl will wind up with the boy she likes, and they'll live happily ever after B: Samsaegi will marry a guy she doesn't like for whatever reason C: Sammy won't marry anybody, because she'll never love a man like she loves herbs and meds.
My guess is C, but I'm really hoping for A, and I'm hoping that the impostor sister isn't too insufferable like Seunga was.

Too silly with Insu throwing away everything Samsaeng made....that Mr. Sa is a real nasty sort....but at least from the preview it looked like all will be forgiven.
So where would Geumok go if she carried out her threat to leave the house - no mother, no job, a bit young to be on her own....lol....
I guess I'm not ready yet to think about the pairing off of the kids....maybe once the time jumps again....

Yes, I saw the growth spurt(sp) as Sammy was digging that herb up in the previews, might start watching again to see the transition.
