Thanks. I really dont have the energy to read through Soompi's recaps. They are just too extensive.

I agree with you Dodgerman.... Thanks Mara, thats awesome. I go through the soompi recap from time to time to see what was cut....and the comments are interesting as well - they have posters from all over the world including some who watch without subs..... It looks very much like the old dramacrazy - basically exactly like it - I read an old post on dramabeans blog, I think, that there were viruses on it but I didn't get any alert when I was watching the first part of a Japanese drama. I always do a weekly check for malware as well as having a virus program.....

I'm still not getting why the picture is a big piece of evidence, Mr Sa can say it was taken a few months back, or days before, it doesn't have a date on it, I am still no seeing how this drama is going to ended up...., I wondering which drama is next, please K-drama channel a drama were there are cellular phones and a least a lost child...

If the newlyweds who are in the picture come forward and testify, they can say exactly what day they were in the park and had the pix taken leaning on Snake's car. He really is repulsive. At least Crazy Mom has come around & gave her son the photo for the police. The nail in Sa's coffin will be the cufflink from Dad's hand.

I believe as we said earlier that this is the new drama coming up: wiki.d-addicts.com/Eun_Hee . So no such luck on cell phones or modern day Latina. At least the new one has a lot of familar faces and it was made in 2013. So lets hope for brighter colors at least...

It looks good tonight. Geumok will react with less than enthusiasm when Samsaeng is let out and her father smacks her. I really like her (though not as someone I'd want to know personally, LOL!)

Good episode tonight - nice that Doc and daughter are finally reunited and Doc seems very warm toward her - maybe he just didn't ever have any feeling for Geumok....
A little far-fetched though that it was the General's fault that the Doc lost his daughter - I don't think the General had Sa do all that stuff...lol...but it worked out anyway.
And now Sa is trying to set up Dongwu with the cufflink and also wants to get back at Doc and Samsaeng - wow, he is really evil....I wonder what Geumok wrote in the letter......
If Geumok had told Doc the truth earlier he probably would have treated her much differently.....
So will Jiseong get his act together or will he spend the rest of his life in a ball on the floor - giving Dongwu a chance with Samsaeng....

Thanks mara , I wonder what Mr. Sa can do to them, Doc is so weak and stupid I don't get how he used to be such a brave trouble maker guy back in day! Shouldn't Doc get Mr. Sa first out his company?, the only one who can get Mr Sa in jail is Geumok, I don't see any other way.

My rant:
1. There is no justice in this show. None. Mr. Sa: I'll use my money and influence to bribe officials to frame a couple of people as spies. Doc: I'll use MY money and influence to get them out of the torture spy chamber. I have more, so I'll win.
How much more satisfying it would be to see, you know, someone actually find them innocent of spying rather than just have them released because someone owed a favor to Doc. He was willing to bribe to get Samsaeng out of prison. Nobody has any integrity, although maybe you would do anything for your child in a case like this. It's interesting that Doc never used his influence to help Geumok get a job as a teacher in a gifted pre-K class or something like that, like they do in New Jersey.
2. Why, oh why, when he was yelling at Geumok, did he focus on her not telling him about Samsaeng being his daughter? That was selfish, yes, but not as bad as the crimes she committed under Mr. Sa's influence. She was under Sa's thumb partially because she worried that her dad would drop her if he found out she was only a decoy baby, and she was probably right. I could just see what happened if she did tell him.
Doc: I'm sorry Geumok. The shaman says the evil spirits will attack us if we keep in contact with a living decoy baby. You will bring us 100 years of bad luck. Please pack your bags and go.
Ms. Hae: Please, Geumok. You don't understand. The reason I never married is because I was caring for a decoy baby all these years. You must go. Never speak to us again. Now, excuse me, I have to make Mr. Sa his dinner. He stole all your father's money, so I'm just making him five side dishes to go with his kimchi tonight, instead of the usual 8.
Idiots! Which leads me to my biggest complaint.
Why did Doc ask Samsaeng to move in with him when a man who wants to kill them both is still in the house? Why, why, why? Too dumb to live, that's why!

poodlepal - we do have seven more episodes so hopefully Sa will be punished somehow. As far as the bribery aspects of this, possibly the time and place did not lend themselves to what we think of the democratic ways of doing business...
Does the Doc even know of other things that Geumok has done - such as stealing the cufflink from Dongwu.....what other crime did she commit - I have already forgotten....lol....
And it seems Sa has moved out - I would think that would be expected.....
Then again they are almost TDTL....lol....

I'm sure you're right about corruption in Korea in 1973, but it somehow doesn't make for a satisfying climax to a drama as if they were vindicated. Doc knows or suspects she gave the land certificates to Mr. Sa. Does Mr. Sa still live there? It looked like he did, but all the sets look alike, so who can really tell? We'll see tonight.

poodlepal, Mr Sa left after Geumok left. I guess he is now sleeping in Doc's company, I think that Mr. Sa is trying to sell the company in order to flee, I think he was referring to the company, or to the land next to the Han river? , I don't know...

.....I think that Mr. Sa is trying to sell the company in order to flee, I think he was referring to the company, or to the land next to the Han river? , I don't know... According to the soompi recap he is trying to sell the land.....so was that the point of his whole charade all these years - to get the land? It just seems weird - after all he has always lived with Doc or at least since the end of the war so even if he pays something towards expenses it must still be a lot less than if he had to maintain his own home. And he is president of the company and has definitely stolen money probably not all of it used to pay bribes to avoid tax audits...so it seems he would be well off as it is.... What will he do with all the money from the land? All of a sudden he will live as a king?
