I will be back. Maybe after my standardized test is done next month. How violent is this show? In the one episode I saw, it looked pretty bad.

Well, I am one or two episodes behind but to me compared to the modern day cop drama dodgerman and I are now watching this is no big deal at all....sword fights and flying through the air...not much blood...
I am still trying to figure out who's who so that keeps me occupied...lol....
Finding a shorter daily drama seems quite difficult as our only choices are basically the KBS type we have seen and gotten tired of....but if you find something interesting, let us know please...

There are a lot of sword fights but very little blood. After 10 episodes, I think I got it . Older ministers are corrupt, over taxing the poor people & trying to get more power---like politicans all over. Teacher Sanbong wants to get rid of the corrupt Goryeo and replace it with Joseon which will be fairer to the common folk The older general( Young Master's dad wants to protect his area from the invaders Young Master meets the poor kids. Boon Yi becomes one of the Teacher's disciples, her brother becomes the Viper who attacks the invaders and bad politicians while being a storyteller. The young big guy is a swordsman and is befriended by Young Master. These 6 are the Flying Dragons who will get rid of the Old Guard and usher in the hew era of Joseon.

There is a character in this show named General Choi Young. He's pretty famous on Korean history but I keep thinking about him being portrayed by Lee Min Ho in Faith.

Choi Young is an old man. Faith took place much later in time didnt it?

In Faith, that was young Choi Young. He was protecting King Gong Min, the previous king. They mention him through out this drama. This drama takes places a couple of years after the events in Faith.

I saw Faith and also thought it was much later than this - they mention the 1300's in this one....wasn't there somewhat modern medical knowledge in Faith or is my memory way off? Maybe I'm confusing the different times in Faith....
But it would be funny to see that old general and picture LMH!

Goryeo and the Mongols/Yuan are in the year 1000—1300.
Joseon and the Ming dynasty are from about 1400 to the 1900's.

Other than the KBS Youtube channel I have never been too successful with watching dramas on youtube. I think you mentioned at one point sometimes they are only on part of the screen or some other weirdness. Is there a reason you prefer YT to DF?
I'm one episode behind, I think, and finally I am more sure of who's who....

Th only reason for Youtube is that since I am not a premium member on DF, there are commercials between each segment. I dont mind the commercials which are short but sometimes the transmission sticks in between the commercials and the screen just goes black.

Got it, dodgerman....I was very lucky somehow or other being a Beta member of DF and having a low priced premium membership that stays the same every year. Every so often there is a sale, I think, will let you know if I see anything....
On the app I use to watch on my tablet since DF isn't available here in Japan, each episode is in four parts and there is an ad before each but not a big deal....the ad, in Japanese, is always for some kind of online game it wants you to download....
