Hi Jan and Peggy. So happy to see you here!
I sometimes post on the Philly and Chi boards and I like all the folks there but it's too far for regular get-togethers. (I know the Cal and Hawaii boards, too.)
I hope to meet many of you NY/NJ fans as soon as this #@*^%#!!! snow quits.

Will other dramas be added soon? What about Slave Hunter?

I thought all of us in the tri-state area only get two dramas -- Jolly Widows and Three Brothers. Where are you getting Slave Hunter, mecca ?

Will other dramas be added soon? What about Slave Hunter? As door60 said, we only have Jolly Widows and Three Brothers gong on at the moment. I've never seen Slave Hunter advertised before. Where are you Mecca9?

I think that, unless you're willing to buy KBS or one of the other pan Asian stations, all you get in the tri-state area is one week nite drama and one week end. WMBC has feeds from RAI, FujiSankei, and Sinovision, as well as our Korean one. I looked into Cablevision packages at $15 a pop and decided against them, the Korean ones anyway. They run mostly Christian religious programs and much of the other stuff isn't subbed. Thr KungFu network is fun, however. They show movies all day, and mini-series, old and new ones, from Korea, China, and Japan. I caught Buchunmu on KungFu before we had to downgrade. But no K-dramas.
One of the things we might consider as a united board is a writing campaign to MBC requesting more Korean dramas. I can try to find a contact there if you guys think it's a good idea.

I have Verizon FIOS - it doesn't have KBS America - it does have MBC America - I got that free for a while but I don't think it's worth $30 a month particularly since only one or two dramas are esubbed and they are often available on sites such as dramafever.com for free.....
I'm certainly willing to join a campaign for more dramas from WMBC.....

OK. How about I draft a letter and post in on a new thread with the email and address of MBC? You guys can edit it any way you like and snail or email it out. (I only offer because I'm a professional writer by trade but won't at all be hurt if you shoot me down.)
Also, we have fewer that 20 members right now. What do you think of asking the Chi and Pilly boards to log onto us as guests (or become members if they like) so that they can add their letters to ours? That should give us more clout; make us look more impressive.
Do you think they will mind? I'm not too savvy about fan board protocol and I don't want to offend anybody.

I think real mail might be more effective although it is harder......I emailed WMBC twice at least and never received a reply.
What difference would it be if the people from the other boards were members or not here - WMBC only knows where they live if they use a return address on their letter.....

Well, I always liked the easiest way of doing things, so I'm in for the draft . Chances are letters get tossed just the same as email but it's worth a shot. I'll both email and send a letter.
