Eastnewyorker, the spa is for the entire family -- tons of men (and of course women & children). The Korean Spas are different than the American spas, which definately cater to women.

Thanks dorrie. I'm so in need of a spa date too but I have 2 more months to recover before I can have a 'normal' life again lol.

I'm really not a spa person but if anyone ever wants to do a gtg for Korean food, maybe on 32nd Street in Manhattan, I'm in.....

I would be in Mara, when the weather is nicer. I live in Bergen County and there are tons of Korean restaurants here as well. I've gone to several that are aces, and a little less $$ than the NY ones. In particular, there is one in Closter, called Korean Palace. They also have a restaurant in Manhattan on 57th Street, I believe. I would definately be into going for lunch on a Sunday in April or May.

Thanks a lot mara. I've been to a restaurant on 37th street, I think it was, around this time last year; I'll have to ask my other half the name of it.

I also didn't know you were ill, brooklyn. I'll do a little roots for your swift recovery.
And count me in guys, for a springtime K-meal in Bergen or NYC. I've been to the Korea Palace in Manhattan and liked it very much.

Hi Mara,
Read your invitation post on our CJK board and here I am. Lots of luck with the new place and I will be popping in now and then.
I first lived in Manhattan when my husband and I came to US. Madison and 28th and the city was a lovely place then...many years ago... Have not been back for so long I can't remember.
Greetings to every one in NYC and also New Jersey..lived in Nutley at one time. Great Garden State..best fruit and best tomatoes and best sweet corn.
Peggy

I live in Bergen County, NJ. I enjoy watching the K-Dramas with English subs. I wish I had a Korean friend to discuss the programs with, but this board will be wonderful. I'm a Jewish girl who doesn't speak Hebrew, but slowly, slowly, I am learning Korean !!!
