DAddicts has the whole series to download if anyone is interested. I'm downloading now which means I have to look at it on my computer but it won't have commercials. I watch it online at the KBS Youtube Channel - no commercials there and you can d/l episodes as well but one at a time not like Daddicts with torrents..... OH!! didn't know that! Thanks

Well, I can not contribute much here because I watched a lot more episodes than most of you did. If I post it here it would amount to a spoiler. I thought the director has done a much better job than he did with his last outing 'Love, my love.". Acting in this drama is very good. The lead pair, dimple girl, Eunhui's mom to name a few have done a pretty good job so far. As Mara says, you can watch on your PC Youtube without any commercials. In fact, I had posted the link on this forum some time back. Here is the link: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMf7VY8La5RHg13VAPDQ1uGO1-qURRnpr

Thanks for the link. The commercials on drama.net are bearable, not like drama fever.
I will write a recap of the episode we are "supposed" to be up to, so if you are ahead, we can comment on that particular episode, if we remember it.
Episode 11: The one with the wet posters
Beginning scene: Nari the diva storms off. Later it is found she has disappeared Main plot: Deulim is being abused by the theater company. She has to rehearse by herself and hang posters by herself and starts to get sick. She stays up all night, and irons the posters when investment boy splashes them with mud.
Secret parent hints: Judge doesn't like his wife hanging with single moms; Deulim is not like Suim.
Jeongja's subplot: Ate when she was supposed to be cleaning restaurant; still flirting with teacher man.
Ho subplot: Ho goes to the groomers and his annoying sister is jealous. Can't stand her.
The end: Deulim sings a duet with Investment Boy.
On tomorrow's episode: Deulim is rushed to the hospital on Hyonu's back. Hyonu's mom doesn't want him marrying Suim.
My opinion: B+. A good episode. Can't figure out who's adopted, or if Investment Boy is good or bad. Most of the secondary characters are unlikable, but they are interesting, and certainly better than Cha and Sa!

poodlepal....I thought Deulim was singing with Hyeonu who was behind the stage curtain, but then at the end when she went to look for him Investment Boy showed up.....did I really hallucinate?
Yes, and interesting the way the Judge did not like the idea of his wife going to the single mom charity. And Cleaner Dad saying Deulim was different....lots of hints here.....
We are 'officially' starting with Ep 11 this week....
So far it's okay - however, I don't like musicals and I hope the singing is not going to be overdone even though Deulim or whoever is actually singing if she isn't does have a pretty good voice....

I thought that lawyer Boy was singing the duet and when Deulim went to look for him, saw Investment Dude.

The duet was beautiful. Yes, it was the lawyer boy singing with Deulim. Not yet figured out .. what kind of a guy is the Investment Dude. All I can say is that he is interested in bottom line. One person I cannot stand on this show is Doctor's wife who had a better role on 'Love, my love.".
p.s: poodlepal and others, it will be a great idea if you can reference the episode number while making comments so that others can join the discussion.

......p.s: poodlepal and others, it will be a great idea if you can reference the episode number while making comments so that others can join the discussion. sara79, poodlepal did mention Ep 11 in her post and I thought my reply was obvious as was dodgerman's - but it is true that now that we are watching online not with the nightly tv program that we should make it obvious what ep we are discussing - I think I will post a mini episode guide...hope that helps....

Have you noticed that lawyer Dimples is always wearing flats?? She must be really tall or the 2 lead men really short. I noticed this because in Wild Chives all of the younger women wear such high heels.

Episodes 12 and 13: How not to treat your step/adopted children.
These two episodes were dominated by two fathers throwing fits over their children's desires to attempt a career in show business. It is found through a couple of comments that they are not the bio dads to either child. Hyonu's Judge Dad thinks Suim (Dimples) won't mind Hyonu's background, which gets his wife mad. He is definitely not related to the Judge, not sure about the wife. The Cleaner family just came out and said that Deulim is the daughter of their deceased friend (or possibly the con-artist who fleeced them--same guy?)
Cleaner Dad throws a fit over Deulim's staying out all night in the world's worst and most mismanaged theater troupe. I mean, shouldn't she have rehearsed with the guy she was dueting with instead of hanging posters? Anyway, Deulim is a trooper. She passed out, stayed unconscious for hours, then remarkably recovered and just walked out of the hospital, jumped into her sister's car, and sang the unrehearsed duet. She still thinks Investment Banker boy is her love and carried her to the hospital.
Teacher Boy is also somewhat unprofessional. You don't write letters to parents on stationery with love hearts! Jeongja is flirting with him through the mail and in person and doesn't know he is the same person.
My prediction: Hyonu is the son of the cleaner family and Deulim cannot marry him because he's not her biological brother nor raised in the same house as him but somehow they are related in Korean drama standards.
Isn't it odd that all these ladies are friends but their kids have never met each other?

lol....poodlepal.....yes, those two fathers both seem to have anger management issues - is it worse because the kids are not blood relatives......
I think the con man and deceased are one and the same....
Don't you love when the patient in the ER jumps up and pulls out the IV - how many times have you seen that happen in a Kdrama? ;-)
Yes, I noticed the heart on the top of the stationery as well and then the Teacher was correcting the letter Jeongja sent back to him....

Forgot to say, as usual per Kdrama plotting....Suim doesn't tell Taegyeong (sp?) that Deulim is her sister.....Hyeonu doesn't tell Deulim that he is a lawyer not some poor salesperson she thinks he is....
poodlepal, re your last comment - all the ladies know each other and so do their kids but the kids and moms don't know of all the inter-locking relationships....that's what you meant, right?

Well, yeah. Let's see if I have this straight. Suim knows that Hyonu is a lawyer and her mother's friend's child (MFC) Suim knows that Deulim is in a theater troupe. She knows Taegyong owns a theater troupe. She does not know they are the same troupe, or did not know for some time. In general Suim is the brains of this crew, I think. Suim doesn't tell the parents the name of the troupe
Deulim doesn't know Hyonu's name (don't think--not 100% sure), nor that she's her MFC. She doesn't know that he's a lawyer or that he sang with her and took her to the hospital. Hyonu doesn't recognize Deulim as his MFC. I think he knows she's the one who wanted to sue him. He knows she has a lawyer, but doesn't know it's his friend Suim that is "representing" her for ripping the 1000 dollar outfit at the cleaners.
Jeongja has a love/hate relationship with the guy at the produce market. She has a crush on her son's teacher. She has no idea they are the same person. The teacher (what is his name? Don't know if they ever said it) doesn't know his student's mother is the same as the goofy woman he keeps bumping into.
I'm sure this is incomplete.
Anyway, I ran into some of my mother's friend's children as adults and didn't recognize them years later, though I certainly remembered the names. Apparently these ladies are either new acquaintances or they didn't drag their kids along with them when they visited.

Sorry I see what you meant, poodlepal...
Suim, Hyeonu and Taegyong went to school together. But the two guys do not know that Deulim is her sister.....etc....got it now...maybe she was quite a bit younger than Suim and they never visited her at home....so they might not be expected to recognize her...Deulim, that is.
Yes, the teacher and student's mother also don't know who each other is....

One thing I can not understand why these Korean drama writers take a dim view of their audience. All the three families seem to be living in different neighborhoods but with in a close proximity with their families interacting in one way or another. But they feign ignorance at the same time when the relationships the characters present themselves.... if you are a good friend of Dimple girl and you know Dimple's parents how come you would not know that Deulim is her sister. I am talking about Taegyong the director. By the way, you can cut down each episode watching from 36 to say 22 minutes by skipping things like Doctor's family conversation, teacher guy romance, and endless dinner conversations at cleaners house.... oh, yeah there is a lot of eating in this show... all said and it is still a decent watch.... being a soap opera things will be repeated umpteen times.. grin and bear or make a better use of mouse control. !!!!
