Poodlepal, you almost got it... let me make small clarifications for clarity..
1. Dry Clean family
Aunt is the sister of Dad
2. Lawyer family Dad is the Judge... this guy was the herb doctor and father of the twins in Love my Love
Also we have Grand Pa who is also a retired judge
3. Doctor family
Mom is the woman who was mother of twins in Love my Love and wife of herb doctor
Son, theater director is if I am right was the long lost younger brother of Bokhi
uncle.. I think he is the brother of Mom
Most of the elderly cast we have seen in some drama or other and look familiar.
As Mara said semblance to TV Novel Love My Love is because of the same director. And he has atleast four actors from that drama in significant roles.
my 2 cents

Thanks, Sara. Actually, Love My Love was my least favorite of the "Novels" so this is not necessarily promising to me. So far, it looks pretty good, though. Clearly, one of the two daughters is the child of the dead guy that cleaner dad visits--I bet it's the "good" one, Suin.
What seems promising is that the bratty people are not as bad as they usually are. I was impressed when divorced auntie went door to door looking for a job. They need the EEOC over there, no kidding. They came out and told her they won't hire her due to her age and marital status? It's done here, I'm sure, but at least they pretend it's for something else (or risk a lawsuit).

After watching the first week of this, I guess it seems like the typical daily drama that we used to see on tv.....so I will stick with it at least for the time being. It's fun to see the actors that are familiar - I always enjoy that particularly when they portray a completely different type of character.....

I did the first week and this is the type of show that we were used to before the dopey TV novels. I will stay with this--it is so easy to watch a half hour whenever I can. I will stay with Wild Chives as well and maybe start Miss korea or A New Leaf.

I am finding this a pleasure so far. Definitely lighter than the dreary novels, of which only Samsaengi was good in my opinion. The one with Bokhui had its merits, but it was so dark, with TB deaths, child abuse and the intended sex act on a mentally impaired person.
There is definitely something to be said about a 3 family, 30 minute drama. The only thing? I don't see an evil female villainess in this one. I guess dodgerman will have to just fill up on Dal Rae from Wild Chives, lol.

Hey grace, glad to see you are able to watch M of L comfortably. We are trying to do five eps a week like on tv so we have watched the first five.....I wish I had youtube on my tv....lol...but it is only 35 minutes or so, so sitting at the PC isn't that bad.....
Speaking of familiar faces Kim HyeOk, the cleaner mom was in the first kdrama I watched...Bizarre Bunch...as was Choi SeungKyung who is one of the lawyers in the firm the new lawyer works in - he had a bit part in BB also....

Grace, it is one of the better dramas to watch set in the present Korea. As Mara said it is only about 35 minutes long and can be watched on PC Youtube without any commercials. Latina and others who have yet to jump on to " Melody of Love", please do so. The young lead pair are easy on eyes and are doing a good job so far. I reserve the right to change my opinion. !!!!

I went to the Youtube to check out the site because I'd been watching on Drama. net, which does have commercials and only goes to episode 100 or so. Watch out--there are discussion boards with spoilers (on youtube). I got a glimpse of one (didn't want to stick around and read, not ready for that, but what I saw suggests--a not very unique to K-dramas plot twist will arise at some point.

poodlepal, thanks for mentioning drama.net - I never heard of that site before - it seems to have quite a good assortment - particularly Japanese dramas....I don't recall that it ever came up when I did a search.....

Those with Roku I discovered last night that Roku now has a You Tube channel. After much frustration I got to finally see Melody of Love on the downstairs TV (not the Smart one). Again the only complaint I have it the episodes aren't in order and I have to go looking for them, but other then that no ads, and is nice and clear on a large TV.

I have been watching on goodrama. When I went to Youtube it only had the first segment of each episode and I don't even know what Roku is. Goodrama is fine --it only breaks the hour long eps into 4 and the shorter ones into 2 so there are less ads than on dramafever which has 7 segments for an hour long episode and a minute and a half of ads with each break

Roku a streaming device that you can use with wifi and a tv - that's how I watch Dramafever as it has a Roku Channel - more info fyi - www.roku.com/meet-rokugrace, thanks so much for letting us know that Roku now has youtube - I just watched Ep 6....I linked my youtube account onto the Roku so the KBS Channel comes right up - still have to search for the episodes through - I did link it to my tv and now it plays on both the PC and the TV at the same time which is not a problem as I am by myself. ;-)

Episode 6
So, cleaner man "donated" something at the hospital all those years ago? What was it, his sperm? The sperm that made Tagyeong? Who now can't marry Suim, even though she's really the daughter of the dead guy?
These aren't spoilers, just guesses. I hope they don't make poor Suim marry a man she doesn't love who flips out and flies into rages. I mean really, they may as well have her resign from the law firm tomorrow and start dying hanboks!
