Starting this thread so we can all keep in touch and up to date with each other assuming it is true that WMBC is on hiatus - hopefully - airing kdramas....

Hi there! I am new to this forum. My username is IAPD3000 from Kings County, and I am a fan of Korean Dramas. Ones that were based on Historical tales only. I don't speak Korean and I was not born an Asian. But thanks to the subs, I understand them.
I had been watching Channel 63 (WMBC-TV) since 2001 on regular TV. When they moved to a digital signal in 2009, it stopped airing this channel on Analog TV until the program was rebroadcast on September 2010. They are still running these shows from 8 to 10pm per week.
Now this CBS newtork thing is getting too much airtime. Last Saturday, I was waiting for the arrival of a new Korean Drama on TV, but their TV schedule had changed. There are no KBS programs to watch anymore on regular TV; only these Christian shows. We used to have Channel 17 for these KBS programs, but it's now run by the GCN newtork: all Christian Network.
I don't know why these changes happen so quickly. Will we able to watch KBS, MBC, or SBS shows or dramas ever again?

eastnewyorker.proboards.com/thread/87/discussion?page=42Welcome IAPD3000 - see above page for the start of the discussion about the end of Kdrama on WMBC and please use the contact link to contact them.....the more people who do the better imo. So maybe they will know how many fans are out there....missing their weekly and weekend dramas.... I watch WMBC on Verizon FIOS so I am not sure what is Channel 17....

So far I am doing okay with no Kdrama at 9:25 M - F and 9 pm on S and S. Of course since I was away for two months I got out of the habit to watch then. Since I returned home last week I have been watching a lot of videos on Dramafever but due to jet lag I have often napped....lol.....
btw, anyone who gets NTD, the Chinese channel.....can watch Chill Princesses dubbed in Chinese with English subs.....it looks like it's in the early episodes.....it's on Verizon FIOS - don't know about other cable systems....
