I watched tonight thinking it was the last episode, haha. It was a big joke to me how everyone was praising Granny just because she had died. Jeongae must be a masochist.

latina, from watching the kdramas I think business letters like the resignation one are always written using the Chinese characters - I've seen that before. I remember in one of the dramas I saw quite a while back - it might even be Chill Sisters but I''m really not sure - that when one of the characters wrote up his resume it was in Chinese characters and the woman he gave it to, a shop owner, couldn't read it....lol.... Well, I cried along with Jeongae......lol.....I think over the years she got over most of her grudges and she was really touched that Granny patted her at the temple and said she was a good DIL...... I have watched three of the last five episodes online - unfortunately the old site where I watched it - aveoh.net - has been taken down and I can only find it without esubs but I get the gist of it.... mara thanks for that info I never noticed that before. I hope Yeonpyo and Geumju go to Frances and done with it!

I'm embarrassed to say that since I couldn't watch last week's episodes with esubs I bought a month subscription, with another free month added in, to MVIBO - the Korean channel that is legal for a change....lol....I will most probably cancel after my two months as I still have the sub to dramafever..... So I am watching backwards - I watched Friday's episode when Bunok finds out she's pregnant and they have the wine tasting event in town.... One more and then we get to watch a new drama - hopefully more of us will like it....

I think the tax evasion was the writer's way of giving Yeongpyo a graceful way back to the Winery. It also will make the winery succeed because the wholesalers will now buy the wine without the pressure from the Soju boss. Tonight's the night!!!!

They do that in real life, too,Linda. You won't believe the e-mail my ex-boss sent about my co-worker when he died, how wonderful he was, how he meant so much to them. She used to carry on and on about what an AH he was (seemed to be true--I was his sick leave replacement, and he used to come in and bother me all the time).
I hope this next one is fun. I am not in the mood for another dark one. What happened to the "edgier" family dramas on the weekend? Why is it all historical now? I don't like them. I'm not as pleased with WMBC as I used to be.

A fittingly piss poor end to a piss poor drama. Bravo and good riddance! And I agree, I'm not pleased with these recent dramas, I don't mind Historicals but I would like them spaced out at least.

What a stupid ending!! I wanted her to marry the loan shark. I want closure, and a group photo, and lots of babies. Phooey.

lol.....suzanne, they had the group photo when Eunju and Minsu got married.....
I sort of knew from reading a spoiler by mistake that the ending would have Bokhui still of the single persuasion - I liked that she was Entrepreneur of the Year.....
Too bad we didn't find out what happened to everyone else in 2009....

Forgot to say they obviously cut the part when they read Granny's will or whatever they did there - and she left some land and rice to Mija...... Since I watched the week before this online I was curious if they cut the scene, I think it was last Wednesday, when Granny told Mija that she abandoned her in a well for three days shortly after she was born - that was a shocker.....

Maybe being left in a well traumatised Mija and made her so crabby? Lol, this drama stopped at nothing. I understand now why they showed previews after every episode, to keep viewers interested. I should say though that I'm glad that Bokhui didn't marry either guy, or get married for that matter. Mr. Hong was too disrespectful and his past isn't pretty, who knows who had a grudge and would seek revenge anytime? Mr. Kang was pathetic grieving putty with an incredibly spoilt and needy kid, that would be a huge burden. And why the need to get married just because everybody else was doing so? I wouldn't have married in her situation either, just have a few boy toys on the side with all that money LOL.

hahaaha, myoko, just like a cougar! I like that better that thinking that at 56 years old Bokhui still thinks that she is young and she can get married, blah, awful ending.... Hope the next one be better

I knew the ending! In fact, I sort of referenced it in the grand finale of my imaginary drama, when the Perky Orphan declared she didn't think she could find a man she loved as much as floors.
I don't know if knowing a lot of spoilers ruined it for me, or if it was so blah, it just ruined itself.
Here's the part that was they didn't show last night.
Bokhui: Mom, Dad, I'm home! I'm back from the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Ceremony. Maid-Niece: Oh, I'm so glad! We're so proud of you! I've been doing the laundry all day, stomping up and down on all of your clothes to get them clean. Also, I've been scrubbing the outhouse repeatedly. Maybe now that you're rich we can buy a new outhouse, since we have several hundred people living her now.
Bokhui: Oh, you exaggerate. There's only me, my parents, Taeju, Bunok, their 6 sons, their wives, their children, Mija, her husband, their two sons, two daughters in law and six grandchildren, Boknam, his wife and five kids--who am I missing? Oh yeah, Mandeuk and his wife and three children.
Maid-Niece: Hahahaha! The floor's getting too big to hold all of us. Don't forget, Eunju's family has been staying with us since the fire! And Geumju is visiting as well.
Boknam: How many children does she have now?
Maid-Niece: None. One fell off the top of the Eiffel tower, one accidentally drank perfume and thought it was wine and one was swept away by a tidal wave on Normandy beach.
Malju:Hey! Can I borrow some money? I want to take out a real estate ad and flip that house I bought 2 years ago.
Bokhui: Umm, is that a good idea? It is 2009, after all. Won't you lose money?
Malju: Huh? Hey, look at my new hair-do. I look just like the boys on the Disney Channel. Taeju! Aren't you a little old to be flying a kite!
Taeju: Taeju is happy today. Taeju has to write a report for his health class. Bokhui: Excellent. I'm so glad you are keeping up with your schoolwork. What disease are you writing about.
Taeju: Yeast infections. Taeju loves yeast. I don't know what they're talking about though. I thought yeast lived in white cakes in a winery. How can a yeast live in a woman?
Boknam: Oh, for heaven's sake. Remember where your six babies came out of?
Taeju: The floor of the hospital, on a blanket?
Boknam: Remember how they got in?
Taeju: I hugged Bunok, then played patty cake?
Boknam: Never mind.

Awful end to an awful show. A two minute 30 year flash forward with St. Bokhui looking exactly the same as in 1979.
