Just watched today's ep 29.....dad said it was his out of wedlock baby....to protect Areum. I think that was ridiculous..... Looks like she will tell Philip soon as well as AG.....
I guess this type of investigation/hearing may be the way things are done in Korea as the other drama dodgerman and I are watching seems to have a similar pattern with ministerial/high position candidates....they really seem to look for something to point out your flaws....even if they aren't terribly relevant...

I'm watching Ruby Ring as my cheating show. I'm watching right now, actually. I'm up to episode 7, they haven't switched faces yet. If you want to join me, it's very easy to access on YouTube, the episodes aren't listed backwards. This is a big consideration for me, LOL!
My cheat show on the weekends is "What Happens to My Family." #7 wouldn't load properly, though, hopefully it's not some consistent problem. That is reminiscent of 3 Brothers or the Chill Sisters, just a family with three grown children all having love issues.
Dram Afever drives me insane. Literally. It's like "I Won't Forgive---" (Same verizon commercial 5 times in a row, the one where the Asian customers get a free gift from the bubble tea truck. I wish they really had a truck like that.)---You."
"I need a liver----(Han Ah Rheum Korean barbecue commercial 4 times in a row)--transplant."
I assume you pay the $10 a month to avoid all that, LOL!

poodlepal, it's not cheating, you can watch whatever you want...dodgerman and I got into watching the shorter dramas, more like 20 to 25 eps. What Happens to My Family is 53 and Ruby Ring is 93. Ruby Ring is a regular 'daily' drama - didn't we discuss watching that before we picked Love and Secret? Not sure if I'm up for that at this point. How far along are you with WHTMF and how often do you view it? That might interest me - I see familiar faces in the cast photos on asianwiki.....
As far as DramaFever I am a premium member but I was what they called a Beta viewer and got in at a very good price when they started offering subscriptions - much less than $10/month. They do have occasional sales - I posted here about the last one. Will let you know if I hear about another....

I dont know how much longer I can take all the crying and sadness. These 100 episode long , half hour shows are terrible. I dont even remember which was the last that we saw that I enjoyed--maybe Smile Donghae which was probably 3 years ago. We had 4 TV novels, Melody of Love, Angel's Revenge etc. Yuck!!!

Considering it's up to ep 30 out of 102 I am not sure where it will go now - 70 odd eps with Areum deciding between Philip and Seongun.....
I don't usually stop watching a drama but if everyone hates this we could pick another daily - maybe the one poodlepal recently started.....what do y'all think?

I will warn you that Ruby Ring is lousy with subplots--no, actually, I'm warning dodgerman! The plot is this: there are two sisters, one "good" and one "evil." The evil one is pregnant and trying to get an illegal abortion (which has me confused because they seemed to be legal in the Bizarre Bunch. But whatever). The good one (Ruby) is engaged to a rich man with a yacht. Eventually, they will have an accident and switch faces. Evil Runa's boyfriend is poor and she wants to be a newswoman, which is why she doesn't want the baby.
There is also a subplot about the requisite unmarried Auntie and the delivery guy. This has nothing to do with anything whatsoever. Absolutely nothing.
I'm up to #7 on both of them. I watch "My Family" on weekends. There are three kids: Oldest son is a doctor and has a girlfriend but was considering a rich arranged marriage. Daughter is a secretary to a hottie who has a rich father who runs the company, and the youngest son had a girl show up one day and say he was going to marry her, only it was really his friend who said that (as children). There doesn't seem to be a big plot here--it's pretty obvious who will wind up marrying who, but it's pleasant enough.
Are there any 20 episode shows on YouTube? I'll look myself. From now until labor day, I do not have to do anything at night, and starting around July 1, during the day, either. I can watch K-dramas to my heart's content. Come September, I'll have to see. If they give me an AP class or something like that, I won't be watching anything.

poodlepal, when you say YouTube, do you mean the KBS youtube channel? If so, their site online lists all the dramas that they are showing - maybe it's easier to look online at that site then on YouTube for starters.... www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=2Although right now it looks like they only have daily dramas or ones with more eps. What about Dramafever? Do you watch that on your smartTV? Is it that bad with the ads - like I said earlier I don't see any of them since I'm a premium member....

That's not bad, better than $10 a month. Next week I have to go to some thing I'm getting paid for (not exactly sure what it is) but after that I have all day to watch TV. Do you want to start a new short one together (even on Drama Fever--definitely can watch on at least one television, probably the other one, too) a week from Monday? Do you think Sara would like to join us? Love and Secret is a disappointment.
Since Smile Donghae, I've liked two: Samsaengi and Angel's Revenge. The rest are meh or bad (Hanbok Girl and Eunhui come to mind as being two of the worst).

Sure, I can give up Love and Secret....but as far as a short one for a daily I think our only choice is something on KBS YouTube. I don't think DF has the so-called daily dramas which are the 35 minute ones..... Here are the ones available on KBS YouTube - some are 35 minutes and some are longer: www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld/playlists?flow=grid&shelf_id=2&view=50Some we know but others are new to me - we could look through them and try to pick one..... Plus I checked MBC and SBS the other Korean channels - they both have youtube sites but don't seem to have English subtitles.... dodgerman and sara79, please join in our discussion.....

Still watching L and S until another decision is made....tonight's ep was 32 - I think Philip seems a bit ambivalent now that he knows about Tiffany plus he isn't even divorced. And I really think that the DNA test he just did to reassure himself that he is the dad was a really trashy move - he was the one who was unfaithful when they were together - why would he think she was?
And as far as Areum's dad saying the baby was his to help Areum - I still don't get that - he pretty much ruined both their careers.....

I dont care. I would prefer a 20 episode hour long show if possible since if we watch it 7 days a week, it is over in 3 weeks.

What are you watching on Drama Fever? I can jump in not tomorrow but next Monday, even if it's a 60 min. one. The ones on KBS are all 90 episoders, or will be--the short ones are current, I believe. If you want to start something new at that time, I should be able to as well.
So BabyDaddy's not really divorced, huh? Not surprised.

poodlepal, dodgerman and I will finish Punch tonight and start Fool's Love/HoGoo's Love tomorrow - Monday - night. That is 16 eps and we watch one a day.
As far as a 'daily' I have been watching one for so long I think I would miss it. Are you continuing with Love and Secret or giving that up and going to Ruby Ring....if so, and you recommend it, I will start....five days a week? I noticed a new 'daily' on KBS YouTube: Save the Family Have you looked into that one?
