You notice a pattern in these "historical" dramas? The more normal you are, the less you dress like that time period.
Junkyard boy, Date Rapist--80's outfits. One works in a junkyard, one is a sex fiend. Need I say more? Brothers--have crewcuts (definitely not an 80s hairdo).
Chansik from "Samsaengi"--ridiculous 70s hair. Until yesterday, a weakling who let a man get away with murder.
Jiseong and Dongwu--expensive 2010's haircuts, no sign of a fat tie, bell-bottoms, moustache or anything else you'd see in the 70s.
Idiotic brother-in-law from "Dear MY Sister"--you remember him, and how he thought he could convert a brewery to make a different kind of liquor and gave away the family fortune? Remember his hair?
Yes, a definite pattern is emerging.

This is very slow and the background music is so depressing that I almost fell asleep while watching it last night.

This is very slow and the background music is so depressing that I almost fell asleep while watching it last night. Not only the music, but the grey tones and the dark scenes put me sleep right away.

Originally I thought he was going to leave the brother-in-law in charge but then he showed up in Seoul at the welcoming party so I am not sure.....

Why am I finding this so confusing? They go to Seoul, then they aren't in Seoul, now whats the last scene last night...I just don't get it. Maybe cause I fall asleep half way...lol... Did he graduate law school, are we ahead in years again? HELP......... :0(

Just watched Sunday's episode on youtube. I think there was a small time jump - the younger brother and the young girl (I wish she would get rid of those braids) are in the same year at school, right? So they both took the college entrance exam evidently. So I guess one goes directly to law school without going to college first....that's what it seemed like.
And the neighbor got her own store and is still seeing the rich guy...

I liked that they spent the first 45 minutes with one family and didnt jump from scene to scene. When they were playing golf, the fat guy was wearing a hat with Greg Norman's shark logo on it-- Norman was only 28 in 1983 & I dont know if he had started his golfing clothes company yet.

Good catch, dodgerman.....I guess it's difficult to make a period drama and use another culture's items correctly.....with the TV Novels I read a couple of times on some board that the American music being played hadn't been written yet....lol.
Just watched Sunday's episode online - I am strangely liking this. I don't know if I am watching the same version online as we see on WMBC but there was a long conversation between Kyo-hyung and Suk-jin when they drove out in the country that had no esubs....

Yes, Mara, there were no e-subs at that point on TV either. Wonder what happened? I have up to ep. 70 downloaded (just in case...lol...) I'm sort of liking this also.

I like this so far other than the music. The music in the opening credits and the background music during the show is soooo depressing.

OOPs...sorry Mara, its not First Love I have downloaded, its Eunhui. First Love is too old of a Drama for anyone to have and if they did on there there would be no seeders anyway.
