No, but I do notice that besides the life-threatening emergency that every single patient has, there are no specialists on hand and the ER doctors seem to do everything.
Overall, it's a good show so far (at least up to episode 6), but not the most realistic medically.

I am almost done--one half of the last episode left. I enjoyed it but it is very similar to Sly & single Again which I watched right before it. Also a divorced couple working together and hoping to get back together.

Lettie had a list with some on it--here are 3 that seem OK---Angel Eyes (20 eps), Let's Eat (16) & Miss Korea (20) There is also A New Leaf (18) with my number one girl Park Min Young from High Kick & City Hunter. Check them out and pick one. Any of them will be fine. I am also waiting for Shining Romance with Jo An & Cheo Yong starring Oh Ji Eun(Bongi from Smile Donghai and she was in Three Brothers.

This show is good, if a little monotonous. An ambulance comes in, the person seems fine, then he or she is in worse shape than originally thought.
A couple of thoughts: 1. Nobody seems to have much respect for Chief Resident Gook. They tell him off as often as needed. Why are there no full doctors at this emergency room?
2. I wonder i8--excuse me, my cat Minka has to add something, sorry about the 8--I wonder if this is an old show sitting on the shelf from years ago. They have cell phones but no internet, apparently. When Baby Gook (not to get confused with Chief Resident Gook or Jang Gook) gets sick, Chang Min draws a picture of a brain on a piece of paper to give to Jin Hee. Wouldn't the more normal thing to do would be to print out something about this condition?
3. The best characters are Prof. Shim and the lovesick guy with the headphones. I'd like to see more of them.

If you liked Emergency Couple, I would recommend Cunning Single Lady. It's the same concept but I think it was executed better. The leads had better chemistry together in my opinion.

Thanks, madman999, for the recommendation of Cunning Single Lady - it is known as Sly and Single Again on Dramafever if anyone else is interested- I think I will give it a try....

Emergency couple has gone downhill fast. At first it was fast moving and full of conflict, but now? They just make moonfaces at each other. I'm up to #12, and if it doesn't improve soon, I'm going to try something else.

Now I am watching the rest of Time Slip Dr. Jin which I started in the winter but never finished plus I am watching A New Leaf.....and I forgot on KBS Youtube Channel the new 'daily drama' My Dear Cat....I am cat lover even though I don't have one in residence at this time....so far I have seen five episodes - don't know if I would say it's better or worse than the former daily drama we are watching together...Melody of Love....

The problem with these weekend dramas online is that they are just so long. They are over an hour, plus the clock stops for every drama fever commercial, and there are five in a row. Even if the show is pretty good--and as I said before, EC is not fulfilling its original promise--it's like you're watching it forever, and you can't just listen to it as you do chores or something. Well, I can't, anyway!
I'm going to try Soybean Soup again. I'm up to the episode where they switch to the present day, although others have said those episodes aren't as good as the "kid" episodes.

This drama suffered a bit from having not enough material to fill the 21 episodes. The last couple of episodes were a little stale since they resolved most of the conflicts and story arcs.
Most dramas are about 16 episodes to keep them fresh and fast moving. some go to about 20-24 to 32. Weekend dramas can go 50 or more. As you can imagine, alot of filler material is needed to fill up the time. Also, These episodes are an hour in length without commercials. That's alot of screen time. By contrast, typical US show is only about 24 minutes long. Usually there are a lot plot twists and reversals.
