I don't know I like this drama, the weekend drama is so boring, I don't get what is going on 90% of the time, this drama has more suspense, lol, I don't miss the torture or child abuse from the past dramas, so far so good....

Finally, a good episode. It's great to see a female character that's neither weak (as an adult) or evil. Go Eunhee's mother!

Where do we go from here..
1. Eunhi's affair with Seongjae is out in the open.
2. Eunhi gets thrown out of factory.
3. Old lady calls Eunhi a murderer's daughter.
4. Soprano guy conned Korean Kramer .. I thought it came rather early in the drama
5. When Eunhi asks Mr.Cha " Did my father kill some one"... he could not look into her eyes and answer.
The challenge now is who killed Mr.Im and why... we will have to sit through another 100+ episodes before the writers sort it out for us...

poodlepal and sara79 you're so right on your comments.
sara79 I think Mr. Cha killed Mr. Im accidentally, but of course just Mr. Cha and his wife know the truth. I think Granny might what to know 20 years later what really happened to her son after, Eunhui'mom told he that her husband went to ask for money.. she might contact that police guy who remembers Mr Cha....

The spoilers are in, if you really wanna know. You're right, though, the writers have written themselves into a corner here. It's almost as though they were writing just a 25 episode show (or whatever they're up to). In tomorrow's episode, Cha would blurt out that he killed Im, Seongjae would propose to Eunhui and granny would drop dead of a heart attack. But obviously, we've got a long ways to go!

If Eunhui and her Mom leave Incheon and go to Seoul, the show would be over so that is not happening. It really is moving slooooowly

I had laughed with the guy with long hair so much, it's so silly!, I don't know why I found so funny the why the guy flips his hair around, lol.
I don't know if the time is going to fast forward or what if Mr. Im finds out about his father so fast what else can happen?, he might what to investigate his father murder or something like that, but I don't see either how the writers are going to go forward....

Latina....OMG..I laughed also....it was so silly and off the charts that it cracked me up...lol...It was refreshing to see a sprinkle of comedy in a mello drama, I hope they continue.
I see this really being dragged out after the surprises Poodlepal told us in the spoilers...this time SHE went and looked ahead not me...lol.. I think we are in for a little excitement then down hill from there...we'll see.

We know who killed Im it was Cha Cha. He went in there to ask for money to help his son and Im was getting money from the safe for gambling. Im was drunk and started strangling Cha but in self defense he pushed him off, Im hit his head and Cha took some money and ran. Eunhui's dad saw the light on went in and saw Im on the floor, tried to help and got full of blood, granny just happened to be by there at the same time and accused him of killing him. In Korean style police work...no one is proven innocent if you have blood on your face and hands end of story you are guilty.

grace thanks for that summary, I missed that scene. It seems like Eunhui's mom might want to stay after all. I don't get why the Soprano guy wants Jeongtae to get hurt by his men, what did he do to him?, is it because the money he borrowed? ?

It was certainly amusing to see some one flipping their long hair a la 60s and 70s hippie hair style.
Apparently, the writers had no clear end game plan. They thought they would weave like basket weavers but the difference here is the basket weavers know exactly their end product would look like unlike our writers. Now we should brace ourselves up and go for a good ride with these guys. Who knows, it could be an interesting one???

To sum it up (and correct me if I'm wrong, because I sometimes multi-task and miss certain conversations, etc.) Everyone knows the two "secrets" and now Eunhee wants to leave town but Mom doesn't. Since our heroines are always perfect (and therefore, this is not really a "tv novel; there is little character development), apparently that is the right thing to do and Mom is foolhearted. I disagree, but whatever.
Anyway, please fill in the blanks for me. 1. The gangsters wanted to beat up Jeongtae because___________________________________ 2. They accidentally beat up Seongjae because _________________________________________ 3. Granny blamed Eunhee for this because_____________________________________________ 4. Eunhee and Seongjae are madly in love because they __________________________________ 5. Who is Mr. Kang, exactly? 6. How many people live in the soup house and how are they related? How are they related to coffee lady? 7. Is coffee lady really a coffee lady or some sort of hooker/dance club hostess? 8. Why is Jeongtae getting in trouble but not the gangsters? Is the local government crooked?
Thanks. I have to make up a real test now, but it won't be as much fun.

Okay - I'll give it a try...I'm giving the real answers - not sure if that is what you want or not... 1. he owes money relating to his late mother's illness - this has always been sort of vague. 2. he was trying to rescue Eunhee - the gangsters were going to take Eunhee as a ploy to get Jeongtae to come and rescue her. 3. she's the current scapegoat and she said several times it's all my fault.... 4. what's wrong with being madly in love? 5. the resident gangster....like what's his name from Bokhui - but with no redeeming features... 6. They don't live in the soup house but nearby - the old man and his daughter; Sambong and Jeongtae who work at the factory, Eunhee and her mom and the coffee lady. Only the old man and his daughter and Eunhee and her mom are related afaik. 7. don't really know - but it seems like they only serve coffee.... 8. because he beat the s--- out of them and they ended up in the hospital and the nephew ran out and yelled for the police - and no one is making a big deal out of what happened to Seongtae for some reason... Does that help?

Thanks. Regarding #4-- Did Seongjae and Eunhee ever spend that much time together? It seemed they walked around one day, and they got stuck overnight somewhere. Did they kiss in slow motion? It seemed like they sort of liked each other and were thinking of dating, but then all of a sudden they couldn't live without each other and are like Romeo and Juliet.
Thanks for clearing all that up. It seems like Jeongtae isn't on all that much, but now he's in a major plot that came out of nowhere.
Anyway, this show has been "most improved" this week. Hopefully, the weekend drama will improve as well.

Yes, I think things might start moving more - now I guess they will be in Incheon and Seoul - more like Love My Love when there was the family back in the town and the twins or at least one of them mostly in Seoul....and one of the stars whose photo is in the daily introduction hasn't been in the show yet: asianwiki.com/Kim_Bo-Mi_%281958%29S and E were together every day in the office pretty much....

Kudos to both Poodlepal and Mara. Great questions and equally great answers.
You can't compare the current gangster to Bokhi one. That guy was a classy one. And also not sure of the role of the coffee lady in the drama and at the supposedly coffee house.
Poodlepal, you must be one hell of a popular teacher !!!!
