I was up late last night and changed the channel by mistake about 1:15 am and there was TV Novel Samsaengi on WMBC - I was shocked - it doesn't show up on my online TV guide from FIOS. It was a fairly early episode, the minute or two I saw, when Sa had bought the scarf for what's her name, the nanny...so if anyone is really missing it, stay up late. ;-)

Happy Thanksgiving all!
Again last night/early morning at 1 am I saw on WMBC the beginning of Ep. 28 of Samsaengi.....I wonder if it's on seven days a week....
Getting back to the current TV novel, wow, everyone is trying to save poor Eunhui...that nephew might be a rival for some other bad guys as time goes on although Sa was probably the worst....

Yeah, I see the nephew as the garden variety jerk with a money-making scheme. Only Mr. Sa has turned to violence on any of these shows, he's in his own category. So far, this show is good but a little bit slow. I'll definitely watch Samsangi again if I can't sleep, I have fond memories of it.

I think this drama is going fast now, I wasn't expecting Granny seeing Eunhui's mom so soon, I thought it will be like Anna and James from Smiled Again, they will keep missing each other for at least 10 more episodes. If this were a Hispanic drama, Eunhui's dad will had survived the explosion during the war, nobody knew how he was because his face will be disfigure after the accident and he doesn't want to look for anybody until he finds the real killer, or he had lost his memory and doesn't know how he is, until one day he seen Eunhui in the street and he will started to have flash back...lol Anyway I am stiil find odd the relationship between Mr Cha and Eunhui's mother, and with poodlepal in this one is rare there is not a child who doesn't know who her or his real parents are...

There's a lack of conflict here that's troubling me. Maybe because there was so much conflict with Samsaeng, but here it's like--yeah, so.
Granny sees her son's killer's wife (so she thinks). So? She can't do anything to put him in prison, he's already dead. All she can do is be rude to Eunhee's mother or fire Eunhee. It's been established that Eunhee is pretty good at many things, so to me it's like, oh well, she'll get a job somewhere else. If she discovered Eunhee's mother after Eunhee was engaged to her grandson or something like that, it would be more upsetting.
Latina, did you see Jolly Widows when it was on? That had a plot like that, sort of. I miss those modern-day cell-phone dramas.

This show is dull and nobody seems to have anything much to say about it. On tomorrow's episode: (also the next episode and the episode after that) Eunhui's mom: I can't let Eunhui find out that her father "killed" Mrs. Lee's son, Mr. Im Mr. Cha: I can't let mother find out that Eunhui is the daughter fo the man who "killed" her son. Mrs. Cha: No, you can't. Mrs. Lee: Why were you talking to soup woman? Mrs. Cha: Please forgive us. Mr. Cha: Yes, please forgive us. Eunhui: I saw Mrs. Lee today. Eunhui's mom: Don't talk to her again.
Coming attractions: Repeat the previous.

I think the biggest problem this drama has... no spoilers... no mystery ...that is because if I want I can go to Youtube and watch any readily available episodes ... you can call that cheating but they are there for yours taking... earlier dramas were not that easily available.. another thing is an old lady is carrying a 20 year vendetta based on circumstantial evidence and that too on a family struggling to meet its ends... obviously, the story has to take dramatic turn otherwise we will be subjected to endless Poodlepal discourse verbatim.. Mr.Writer/Director show us your worth and prove Poodlepal wrong. !!!!! lol

Sara....I look at most of them on line and not on you tube. As members here know I like to know the ending first...lol.. I actually like poodlepal's rendition of whats happening at least it makes it funny. I find this and the weekend drama as I said before boring and too much the same. I have up to ep 100 downloaded and haven't said a word (yet) in the spoiler section...lol...

I didn't recognize Mr. Sim....I didn't know he was in the painter of the wind ,Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Chuno ! I thought he was new...lol..he looks a little chubby in the face compared to your typical Korean actor.

Yes, very odd and it doesn't show up on their website - only something like 1 to 5 am CBS programming whatever that is.... It's too bad they don't repeat the current one so then I could watch other shows from 9 to 10 - I don't have a DVR and can't record with my DVD recorder and watch another channel at the same time.

All of these kdramas have people who hold 20 year old grudges. I was thinking about that while I am watching Wonderful Mama online. Like enough already---let go of the past and live.

Yes, please writers, prove me wrong. It's not that the show is that bad, it's just that the stakes are very low. Again, somehow show us viewers what will happen to a murderer's daughter in 1970s Korea. Is it something awful?
Right now it looks like if the big secret is revealed that Eunhui is Mr. Kim's daughter is that she'll lose her job. Well, she's only had the job for a month. She's probably not even past the 90 day probation period and on the health plan yet! Sometimes jobs don't work out. I got a job with a huge raise but almost quit/got fired because of various reasons last month. These things happen. Ho-hum.
Compare this to the kids being tortured by the Korean evil CIA in Samsaengi. Much different set of cirucumstances.
