Last night I thought Seongjae went to bat for the Cha family. His omnipresence was everywhere like Superman shielding Cha and his daughter Yeongju whenever they ran into hot water starting with Inspector Jo and then at VP's house and again at Tofu factory Yeongju doing the the kneel down.
For once our heroine Eunhui looked feisty in her confrontations with the Cha family. Good for her. !!!!
Now looks like we are in for kidnapping for ransom. The writers did not know what kind of menu to dish out and therefore decided to serve the buffet. It all started with accidental death to kidnapping. My dear writers, generally buffet spreads do not measure up. Next time come out with better ideas.. if not consult poodlepal.!!! Seriously !!!!

When Cha takes the car from Incheon to Seoul to confront the VP about the gold, how does Seongjae get there??? Things like that bother me.

I wish I could give them a better idea!
It seems like he's kidnaping Eunhui because he knows Jeongtae is in love with her, so it's done to get back at him. It just makes absolutely no sense.
Here are better ideas: 1. Pick one boyfriend and develop the relationship. If you want to make a love triangle, fine, but then develop that relationship as well. Don't just have a scene every now and then with some boyfriend and try to convince the viewers that they're madly in love when they haven't seen each other onscreen in days or weeks.
2. If this is women's fiction, why is so much time spent with crazy male characters scheming? In general, that's not what you want to see in romance/chick flick type of stories. I mean, a scene or two, OK, but episode after episode with one thing after another--murder, bribes, now smuggling gold?
3. Secondary characters are fun, but don't have one scene about an evil plan to kill somebody, and have the next scene be about two people bickering over whose husband is better or making more money. Really.
4. Enough with the falling in love with the step brothers and sisters. The plot is just upsetting. This is the 4th time we've seen it, there can be no positive resolution, it's awful.
I know where this show is going, since I've read spoilers, and I may bail out, if something good comes on opposite Eunhui. I don't approve of it, but your mileage may vary, so enjoy.

Thanks guys for the link, I was searching for the wrong episode.
poodlepal like always good on your points.
Ok this supposed to happen the same day, that they got the gold???, they planned with Inspector Jo, who showed up with a bunch of policemen in the scene, how about Jeongtae, getting back the gold to the police, as evidence???, makes not senses, the same with the preview, awful

What's with these commercials? By the why, when they show a commercial on TV that's when they cut a segment from the show. I watched the TV version and set up the Internet version and when there was an abrupt jump on the TV, I paused it and sure enough on the Internet there was an extra 3 or 4 minutes.
I like the VP but he needs more security. Cha walks in unannounced, he could have had a gun. Jeongtae can't do it all. He is a good guy and dependable, but he can't provide security 24/7. Now we have a kidnapping!
Seven episodes to go. As we say in the East Bronx, there's a lot gonna go down in a hurry.

Turned it off. Not sure if I'm going to watch again--probably will. I knew this was coming, but it doesn't make it any better.

I must say, I have been enjoying the show, but much of the joy went out of this drama. Jeongtae was a stand-up guy, probably the nicest and most likable character in the show. He had a good heart and cared about people, especially Eunhui.
Whoever gets married, whoever goes to jail, much of the joy has gone.

The drama was fine until last night, why they are going to kill Jeongtae? , in any case if they want to show that bad gets back to you (Mr. Cha), something should happen to Yeongju, the writers messed up this drama big time, it could have been a good one, they got too much going on the last 10 episodes than they lost the drama.

I don't believe Jongtae is dead!! Who is next ? Cha and his immediate family needs to pay dearly... Cha should rot in prison having the crap beat out of him everyday by other prisoners.. Gilyre and Yeongju should be thrown out and forced to beg for food and shunned for being the wife and daughter of not a murderer but a serial killer. !!!!

I agree but Seongjae is just as culpable as Gilrye & Yeongju. They all knew about Cha and chose to ignore it.

I want to say something, but I don't know what. Words escape me, and also I know how this show resolves and I want to be careful here. I'll wait until then to let loose.
Coming Up Next Week: Television Novel: My Dear Love Yeonghui
In this sensitive novel, Yeonghui's biological mom is walking to the woods to find herbs to cure her TB. While she's there, the Korean war starts, and the woods catch on fire. Yeonghui's bio mom thinks Yeonghui is dead and runs off, where Yeonghui is found by a hermit who is really a doctor.
Twenty years later, Yeonghui's adopted dad decides to take her into Seoul. While she's there, she meets a mean woman who owns the biggest department store in Seoul. Poor Yeonghui wants to apply for a job, but is made fun of by the mean woman and her snotty stepson, because she is living in the woods for 20 years and has long messy hair and clothes that her father wove for her from ginseng fibers. Finally, they let her work in the warehouse, where nobody can see her. She continues to wear her woven clothes and uncombed hair, and no less than 3 men fall in love with her. Meanwhile, her adopted dad goes to the bathroom and finds a man dead of a heart attack. He tries to give him ginseng to perk him up, but is accused of poisoning him and is tortured by the mall security for several hours. Finally, they let him go, but warn him that they will never forgive him.
One day, the mean woman who owns notices that Yeonghui bares a striking resemblance to her and her first, dead husband. . .
