This granny reminds me of the Granny on the previous show - so nasty in the beginning and always wanting everything her way - I really don't understand why they deserve all that respect....
Oh, so Seunghui's father never put two and two together when the baby was left on their doorstep....I just assumed he knew and that's why he seems so devoted to her....

There's always a Granny or Elder that's such a son-of-a-b**** then gets the good old KDR. They sent that other Granny to Heaven and praised her, wonder what will happen to this Granny. However, in a way, she was right in the beginning. One child shouldn't get the special treatment over another and that's why there's always that one stink skunk who's jealous and hateful, but her brother is a grown ass man in his 50s, makes no sense.
The father knows who Seunghui is, he read the letter when she first arrived because he was the only one that could read at that time and no doubt he has it in that box of keepsakes, which idiot Seunga will find and then start acting like even more of an idiot.

I hope Seunghui herself finds that box, she did knock it over already.

He knows that Seunghui is his daughter with Mujyeong... They trasladed Taebeom last name as Kim, then when he went to the interview it said Kang. Seunga thinks that he is Yeo (the doctor's last name), but the maid last name is Kim who is Taebeom's mom, I'm getting confused myself, lol. I felt asleep last night I watched just 20 minutes

But half the time, all we need is 20 minutes to predict how the entire episode will go because they're so repetitive hahaha.
I found myself missing Smile, Donghae...

Yes come on Seunghui has to see that the embroidery on the hanky looks familiar and then remember the little sweater that got knocked out of the box.
-I've picked up on two familiar faces, the 'music producer' guy who obviously is up to no good, is the brother of the that cougar teacher from Happiness in the Wind; and the guy that Gopdan's husband kicked I think was in Smile Donghae as one of Dojin's lackeys, maybe that's why you remembered it Linda lol. Or maybe he was in Happiness instead. Can't forget that face, mara I think you even liked his look in the last drama we saw him in lol.

myoko, the music producer is familiar to me as well - thanks for saying where I saw him...lol....I didn't see the other one that Gopdan's husband kicked - will try to look next time. latina, since I forgot that Seunghui's father knew she was his real daughter, no one else knew about Mujyeong's mother being in the NH or did they? dodgerman - have you seen Flower Boy Ramen Shop - it has the motorcycle brother from High Kick and Lee Chung Ah from Cha Cha Cha and it's 16 episodes - it looks cute - I get MNET the Korean Pop Channel on my Verizon FIOS and see parts of it from time to time. wiki.d-addicts.com/Flower_Boy_Ramyun_Shop

I fell asleep as I usually do at that time, and seem to have missed all the major plot points. You know that record producer is going to sell Seunga a singing franchise and take all of her money (see my prediction).
Here's what I remember: Mean Granny: Don't let Seunghui go to art school. She must go to teaching school. Seunghui: No! I want to go to art school. Dad: I know! You can do both! There is a new career that combines both, called "art teacher." You can study art but get trained for a teaching job as well to please your cranky Granny. Seunghui: No, they don't have degrees in art teaching in 1968. Dad: Yes they do. Poodlepal's mother just so happened to get a degree in art teaching in 1968. Of course she's in America, so she also had indoor plumbing. Coincidentally, we seem to be in much better shape technologically than Bokhui's family who lived at the same time as us. Our homes and clothes are a lot nicer, and we're not dropping like flies. Granny: Thank you, most merciful Buddha.
Then I fell asleep, and the next thing you know, both sisters are moving to Seoul to go to art school and to do what? Sing? Chase after Taebom?
Anyway, I'll have a coke tonight. Maybe the caffeine will keep me awake.

I find it humdrum and fall asleep midway. I usually watch it in bed since my husband refuses to watch K dramas with me..lol...did anyone notice that clinic looks almost the same is in Bokhui's drama..same layout.

Thanks Mara. I am in the middle of Midas which is a stockmarket drama. After TEN( a cop show), SIGN (a forensic show like CSI Korea), & Now Midas, I am ready for a lighter show.

Probably everyone else caught this already - but wasn't the actress who plays Myungju an evil rich MIL in a previous show?
And who's the actress who passed away? Seungu's friend who works in the factory?
BTW, what was their parents' plan for where they would sleep that night in Seoul? Did they give the girls money for a hotel - which money Seungu can now spend on herself? Or is Seunghui just really lucky that her sister tagged along and cadged a place to sleep? Otherwise would they be in a jiljimbang, or on the street?

Hmmm, I don't know about Myeongju, it's the first I'm seeing the actress.
I'd forgotten that one of the cast members passed away, I'll have to check again who.
That's a good question about where Seunghui and Seunga would stay if not for the friend. Maybe Seunghui was going to originally stay at an inn but got talked into saving money by staying with Seunga's friend.
The drama is sorta just going along, nothing great, I've even been able to switch and watch BBQ University inbetween and caught right back up.

OFF TOPIC: NJ's KOREAN FESTIVAL
Door60 had made a thread about this, I thought you guys had seen it, but I don't think so because I don't see any other response in there. Will anyone be going? I believe it's tomorrow.
