I'm sick and I fell asleep in a couple of episodes. What exactly did Taebom do, anyway? Was he protesting for democracy? Or did he commit a real "crime?"

I don't think they said exactly, if they did I missed it. They did speak of students at the college he goes to protesting and they were looking for them. I am assuming he is one of them. I guess it was still illegal at the time.

Thanks.
This is my prediction of the show. Episodes 7-10 will detail how Seungu (Shallow Sister) steals Seungui (Good Sister's) boyfriend Taebom
11-15 Will show how Shallow Seunga decides to buy a franchise of singing school, and how she steals Dad's seal to take the money from the bank.
15-20 Will show Dad's coma when the loan sharks steal all her money.
21-25 will show how Taebom beats up the loan sharks and winds up in prison
21-26 will show, how, when Seungui goes to the DA for her deposition, she accidentally breaks his watch.
27-30 will show how, when Seungui goes into the bathroom for 25 minutes, DA Hottie's mother comes to visit, and stays for 24 minutes. This will happen several times, although it might not always be the bathroom she happens to be in.
31-35 will show how after becoming DA Hottie's slave to pay for the watch, Seungui, the nice sister finally meets his mother and feels a magical connection.
36-43 will show how, when Dad goes to pick up Seungui, DA Hottie's mother is always called to an emergency at the Hanbok store. In episode 43, they almost pass each other in the hall.
43-50 Some boring subplot about democracy or oriental medicine or something.ll
51-Taebom and Seunga's wedding.
52-58 Seunga is yelled at by her maid mother-in-law for being the daughter-in-law from Hell.
Now we're about at the halfway point. I'll add more later.

Ok, where was I?
59-62 will show Mom's despair as she realizes her biological daughter is a brat and a bad DIL to boot. She takes to her bed, unable to walk from the shame.
63-A new gentleman moves next to the Hanbok store. He is played by either Pungu/James-uh, or the Virgin Uncle from the Chill Sisters (also the gangster from 3 Brothers). He falls madly in love with Meungju. The nicer sister starts her art internship as a hanbok designer at the store.
64 Dad goes to return the renta-hanboks to the hanbok store, but Myungju is on a date and misses him.
65-76 See episode 64. Dad and Myunjgju barely meet in an airport, elevator, kimchu store and finally, in his Oriental medicine office. Mom gets better when the dumb sister is rushed to the hospital with twins.
77-80 Myungju and Seungui the nice sister get engaged to the DA and James-uh/Virgin Uncle. It's time for the families to meet
80-119 Dad: Whom should I pick! My wife or my ex-girlfriend? Mom: What should I do? Should I let him go? Seunggui: Should I marry my "brother" who I'm not really related to? DA: Should I marry her? Or let her go? Seunga: How come nobody's paying attention to me or my twins? I'm 8 months pregnant and I've only gained one ounce. That should count for something. Seungui: Who should I live with? My brother/boyfriend? My real mother? Or the woman who raised me? Poodlepal: This is monotonous. Should I watch something else at 9:30? At least nobody has died of TB, hit by a truck, or got sent to an orphanage.
Episode 120. Dad stays with his wife. Myeungju moves to Fort Lee and takes the son with her, where you may run into them today at the Target in Edgewater, NJ. If you see them, say hello, they haven't aged a bit in 40 years.
Seunggui becomes Hanbok Designer of the Year, and explains she never loved a man as much as a hanbok.
Taebom starts a restaurant selling healthy snacks, and Seunga has several sets of multiples.
The End.
These are not spoilers, just predictions. But as the same plots get repeated again and again on every show, I bet I'm right!

I laughed at the Ft. Lee comment..we are originally from there and when I go back every so often I am amazed at how much its changed especially Edgewater! Yes, we can meet them for sure there and s l o w l y....pass them in a chance meeting..lol...

Poodlepal - I love it!!!
But I think you left something out. Myungju gets cancer and needs a kidney or bone marrow donation. The DA wants to donate but learns, to his great shock, that he's not actually related to Myungju. However, Senggui is in the hospital for some unrelated reason (c'mon, just one little car accident, pleeeease?). Because there are no medical privacy rules in k-dramas, she learns that Myungju is dying - and that she is somehow mysteriously a match. She donates, and nearly dies on the operating table. The DA solves the mystery, Senggui and Myungju bond, and everyone apologizes for being born.

So eventually two friends, Skinny bloke and Taebeom, will possibly become enemies vying for the same girl, Seunghui, and the other girl, Seunga, will hate her even more even though it's no fault of Seunghui's. Was there ever a love quadrangle like this before in a past kdrama?

That's in New Jersey? -The way some of the characters fall hard for others is overwhelming at times.
