I hope something really bad happens to that bratty little b**** but this is Kdramaland where the wicked are double evil and arrogant, and the good are double dumb and weak. I know she's upset over the death of her mother but the way she treats people in general shows that she's overall mean. Disgusting imp, she's moved to the top of my most hated character in a drama, even surpassing stone-face granny.

Hahaha, double dumb and weak!!! That's too true though. I'm not finding Geumju's (sp) obsession with Mr. Kang cute at all and I hope Bokhui tears her up at some point, maybe half-drown her in a tub of dirty nappy water, ha ha ha.

well, we know that on k-drama there is always an obsessive character. So Dalbong and the other guy are not brothers, they just were raised together for the Song family. How Mr. Kang went to the movies if he said before to his brother-in law taht he doesn't get paid as substitute teacher? ??

What does that mean that he doe not get paid as a substitue teacher? Do you suppose it was a bad translation?

I thought the translation read that he doesn't get paid as much or a lot, not that he doesn't get paid at all.

myoko thanks for the info I read that he said that he didn't get paid al all, maybe it was "a lot". lol.
I really like the mean girl, I think her character is well written and the actress does a great job on been mean and spoiled.
Now her and Miran from, Happinesss in the wind are my favorites "evil girls".
I would like dodgerman opinion about Geujum (sic).
The best actress so far of this drama is the girl that plays Bounik (sic), gosh she make me cry last night....

It's like Orphan Annie and Oliver Twist rolled into one. Like make with the cheer already drama, ha ha. I like it still so far though, just waiting for Bukhui to grow up and move on or something.

Geumju is a spoiled, immature, rich brat. The teacher is at fault for not putting her in her place more. She has a long way to go before she is in the same class as Miran or Subin from You Are My Destiny. Geumju would not even know where Russia is to send Bokhui to like Subin tried to do to Sabby.

I like both of the orphan guys but especially the older one. If he does fall for the annoying maid he's crazy. She can't sleep with anyone else beside her yet she's looking for a man, bloody idiot.

The woman who plays Mr. Kang's colleague looks really familiar. Was she the rich girl in You Are My Destiny, but now with longer hair?

lol guys, yes, this drama is like Annie and Cinderella,
I don't get why the mother doesn't do something for her child, come on it is to much..., if she didn't marry for money to the guy, why she is taking all that @#%, from everybody, plus having her daughter suffing like this??.

What's interesting is how technologically behind Korea was to the US just a few decades ago. I mean washing your laundry in a stream in the late 60's/early 70's? In the US, they'd be using one of those awesome olive or golden appliances, LOL. Anyway, this is like Annie, Cinderella, Pollyanna, Jane Eyre--countless other suffering orphan families. These stories never lose their appeal. Even Harry Potter had a lot of that in it.
I have a new crossover episode up in the Imaginary Drama folder, with special guest appearances by Anna and Piljae.

LOL I'm heading right over to read it.
-Bokhui's mum can't say anything because she doesn't have a prominent place in the household. We see how she's still treated like dirt even though she married the winery owner, and it would look especially strange for her to stand up for Bokhui when Bokhui is supposedly just a niece. Humilty and accepting ill treatment from the upper class are well impressed into the minds of the poorer class back then. I cheated and looked up how long we'd have to suffer before the flashforward so I'm trying my best to be patient with this series until then lol. The loud-mouthed maid truly disgusts me though, her voice and her face are disturbing.
