I watched the first episode - quite different from our usual...it did get good reviews. I will watch the second today. I liked the tribe with the sculls of some animal...lol....Interesting different language also...when one is used to hearing Korean it was quite a shock! Do you want to watch it, dodgerman?

Yes, when I look at the cast on the Asianwiki site it makes me dizzy - a lot of tribes/people we haven't even heard about yet.
It is supposedly the Bronze Age which according to wikipedia started in Korea in 1000-800 BC....
I wonder if that was the first elevator - pretty darn clever especially since it took ten years for EunSum and his mom to get down.
It is interesting and probably sort of true since I really have no idea about that period of history that some tribes were so much more advanced than others...

It is supposed to be the Bronze Age but Arthdal looks very advanced with their buildings and market town. They said that Eunseom is part Neanthal who were monsters--would that be like Neanderthals? Did you ever read Clan of the Cave Bear??? It is one of my all time top 5 favorite books and goes into the Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals.

No, I have never read it, will put it on my to-read list - probably an E book I can get from the library. Thanks for the recommendation!
His eyes glow sometimes....sort of monster-like!
Good contrast between that court and the one in our other drama...lol...

Halfway done, It is interesting--like a typical historical with all the plotting, infighting and power struggles. Kim Ji Won looks much better when she isn't dirty and bloody

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about it being very interesting! It doesn't seem to matter if I can't figure out who all the different tribes are anyway. I got the Clan of the Cave Bear - haven't started it yet..

Poor Tanya....this is sort of confusing but I like it a lot for some reason.
I love the way Tagon is always wearing furs and his girlfriend Taealha has a dress with bare shoulders...I guess she is having hot flashes...lol...
I wonder how hard it is to play two different characters in one drama....

EunSom and Saya are both Song JongKi from one of your faves - Descendants of the Sun....

Kim Ji Won was also in Descendants of the Sun. The girl who plays the Neanthal who is the younger sister of Chaeeun does not look Korean at all. I looked her up and she was born in Moscow.
