Yes, you nailed everything, dodgerman. I wonder if she thinks she will die also or be imprisoned as she seems to be saying goodbye to the family in her own way.
I am enjoying this drama particularly since it is quite different from others I have seen - as was the Alien that we just finished..although that one had some of the usual plot - love triangle, etc...

The SHK is probably so distraught over the death of her family that her own death doesn't seem like an outrageous thing. However, she has a reason for carrying on even if it seems like self imposed punishment.

Also saw ep 17 last night.....could be either ending or maybe another one...lol....
I did think that was quite clever of the SH to set up two cameras....she has a good head on her shoulders - maybe if she gets through all this she can get a good job....

Finished 18--two more to go. At this point, I hope she becomes the Mom and every one lives happily ever after. Or, Psycho Man escapes from jail and burns down the house with everyone inside.

I saw 19. At the end when SH smacked the SIL, I thought she was going to say "Snap Out of IT" a la Cher in Moonstruck. Did you notice that the show that SH was watching was Heirs which we saw a while ago. One more to go. Either it will end happily and she will finally smile or the Psycho Killer will hire a hit man and he will wipe that all out in a hail of bullets.

I also finished ep 19 - was tempted to watch the last one but will wait until tomorrow. I just re-watched that end part where she was watching a drama - yes, it was Heirs....lol...
Wipe them all out in a hail of bullets....lol.....
I forgot which is our next weekend drama, dodgerman...please refresh my memory....

I finished this and the ending was much better than most shows. we didnt see the bad guy redeemed, we saw the SH smile & she comes back a year later and everyone is happy. We will figure something out for when you are away. I will do what I did last time and stop watching whatever we are doing together and watch something else. Are you going for business or vacation???

Yes, ep 20 was a real tearjerker....except for the part where most of the family got dressed up in silly costumes to try to make SK smile - that was one of the funnier kdrama moments - brought me back to the High Kick silliness almost. Actually I thought the ending was a bit weak - but I can see better in the sense the bad guy got what he deserved - although we didn't get a real idea of what happened to him...sort of like the end of Alien Boy. In ep 19 the SK acted that strict way, I guess, so the family would realize they couldn't change moms that quick....and then even though they seemed to learn that lesson she still had to leave for a while in ep 20. In the year forward I don't think any of them looked one tiny bit different...lol....I was glad that the housekeeper supv and her old flame, the grandpa got together as well as the aunt and the other employee....all in all an interesting show...
I am going for vacation...business is long since over for me...lol...will be gone about two months - so I can download our daily drama if we decide on a new one - Angel's Revenge ends on May 4th....we have time to work this out...thanks, dodgerman - I am glad that you are hanging in here - wish we had a few more members -even madman999 hasn't had anything to say lately. ;-)

I check up here every now and then. If I have something I think is relevant and useful I'll mention it. Just waiting to see if you all pick up a drama I've watched or have watched. Granted we all have different tastes so what appeals to one might not to others.
I think you both are watching Angel Eyes. I watched the first episode a while back but haven't picked it up.
As for the end of SHK, it's kind of weird that the SHK made a promise to the mother in law to never smile as a punishment for her Husband and Son dying. Guess the power of Mother in Laws is absolute! I didn't quite understand why she went away for a period of time but came back. Oh well, guess you could chalk it up as a happy ending to an atypical drama.

Thanks for stoping by, madman999....I think you are watching newer dramas than we do since we wait for them to be on Dramafever...let us know, please if you have time, your recommendations....what do you think of Pinocchio and Healer? If you told us before, please forgive me...lol...
Yes, it was a little strange imo at the end of SHK - I think her point in leaving for a year was for the family as well as herself to get through the grieving process....

I watch current running dramas on Drama fever as well. One that I am really liking is Maids. It's a serious bloody tears period piece but thus far, the story has been edge of seat riveting. They are up to episode 8 of maybe 20 or 24.
I think you said you prefer dramas that have completed already. Either Pinocchio or Healer is good. Healer is more action romance Ala City Hunter. Pinocchio has an intelligent storyline in my opinion and of course Park Shin Hye!
