The housekeeper has a suspicious back story. She seems to be running away from her past life.

This is so bizarre and different from our usual show but I am enjoying it. I love when the little girl imitates the housekeeper.

Just saw episode 8. When the mistress comes to the hotel to return the rock, if this was an American show, she would had had nothing on under the black leather coat and whipped it open as soon as she walked in to the room

lol...dodgerman. Very mysterious this one - who is the man following the HK and who is the person in the wheelchair he reports to? We do know that her husband and son died and the MIL accused her of killing them......I guess we will find out the answers little by little.
I also love the younger daughter who does the HK imitation...
So it seems like the dad has some patents and is well off from what the other company employee said.
What I don't understand is why the late mom took the kids to the Philippines for a better education? Originally I assumed it was the dad's job that brought them there. Never heard of a Korean doing that before - usually they go to the US for kid's education....

Maybe they went to the Phillipines because it was more cost effective. The Korean currency is worth more and goes further over there along with job opportunities. Seems like a lot of expat Koreans living in the area too.
On of the trends out there is how poor dads are overworked and merely exist to send money to their families to further their children's education. Of course in Asian households, the kids are then expected to take care of the parents and extended family when they are able to. Could lead to a splintered family life and a bit of dissatisfaction. There is some derisive term for the dad.
Of course the Dad might have just shipped them over there so he could cheat.

I guess you already watched tonight's ep, 10, dodgerman as I didn't see that last night. ;-) I'll see it later.
Anyway, ep 9, I loved when the little girl did the imitation of the Housekeeper Supervisor describing that the SH would say anything if she ate a certain type of cookie -she had her down to a tee.....
I will insert an episode schedule on the first post of this thread in case anyone, like me, gets confused...lol...

He's purposely trying to hang around the Suspicious Housekeeper. What's his purpose?

Jang Do Hyung-the character played by the actor from the Princess Man. He seems to have an interest in the housekeeper.

Of course, when they first ran into each other at the restaurant that can't have been planned as the restaurant was picked out by the family's aunt so that was a coincidence...quite a coincidence - how many restaurants are there in Seoul a city of millions...;-)

Yeah he killed her family but the reason why hasn't been revealed yet.
It was kind of a random meeting but seems to have messed up the suspicious housekeeper's plan to start a new life.
