This stars Choi SuJong better known to me, at least, as DaeJoYoung.
I haven't figured out yet when this fits in to the historical picture...
I hope we all enjoy this!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muyeol_of_SillaOkay, above is info about KimChunChoo - it takes place in the mid 600's - this drama also involves Queen Seondeok and Kim Yusin - I saw most of that drama the Great Queen Seondeok when I had the premium channel MBC a couple of years ago.... As I said in my post on the previous drama's thread, many familiar faces...

Thanks for the links mara. Ah, so this is Silla's perspective now? Please don't be a disappointment like Geunhogo.

How could Choi SuJong aka DaeJoYoung aka Jang Bogo (Emperor of the Sea) disappoint.....
He is more mature than my recent faves....lol....Lee MinHo and Jang GeunSuk, but then again I am mature also, at least in age....lol....

I didn't say DJY himself could disappoint lol, very good actors and actresses could get screwed by crappy directing and storyline. I hope they've done right by him.

dodgerman, I found it on dramacrazy titled The Great King's Dream..... lol...latina, yes, I know what you mean - one good actor, no matter how nice-looking, can't make the whole drama....unless he's Jang GeunSuk....

in the cast I seen good actors, but not any good looking yet like DD, lol, but still I'm excite for the female casts very good actrices (sorry my grammar) Yes mara still we need a nice story, I have big hope for this drama, but the rating in Korea is 6th....

Holy smokes, it's Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts wrapped into one! I liked the first episode and clearly this is a fantasy so I won't have my heart set on learning anything about the advancement of Korea. I would like to add that I find Jo Malseng's half brother hot lol.
-If anyone else caught online drama I Miss You, the young girl in the market place is the girl that played Crazy Rabbit's baby half-sister.

I didn't like the first episode. Totally confused, who is who, names, place, but the worst for me was Gilda=Gold Fox(he looks like a Drag Queen from the 80"s) got up after been stuck by a flying spear, come! I can take the ninjas flying out of the water, but that guy getting up like that, forget it! way to much fiction kind of movie for me, I'm disappointed.

I liked it - a lot of familiar faces. Yes, Jo Malseng's half brother is not too bad...lol: wiki.d-addicts.com/Jang_Dong_JikHe's been in a couple of others - was in Iron Empress for one. The first couple of episodes are always confusing imo - and I liked the names in English and a little explanation in addition to the subs - even though they were pretty small and fast.

The name Manho stood out for me for obvious reasons, hahahaha, but, I liked it too. It's good to see Dae Jungsang (DJY's father) again, well, Brooklyn's excited more than I am for that, and Jo Malseng with his usual expressions.
From what I understand, the two fighting at the very beginning. i.e. DJY and PilJae, are the younger ones we saw after the scene ended.
Latina, that Gold Fox is my favourite character, hands down! I think his bones are turning to gold and impenetrable, hahaha. Someone mentioned that Yeogu's Grandfather was a Silver Fox and now we have a Gold Fox, I wonder if they go up to platinum?

Just like the last one showed the high point of Baekje, thie one is the high point of Silla. Silla conquers Baekje & Goguryeo in the 660's and rules the 3 Kingdoms until just before the Iron Empress. The man she falls for was the last Silla prince.

Thanks, dodgerman, for the history - it is hard to keep it straight... That's Yumi's father from High Kick with the long gray hair, right? That Gold Fox has some nice abs....lol... Liking it fine so far
