Do you know what daily dramas are available? The three that seem to be catching on with us are all weekend dramas, which are twice the length as the nightly dramas. I can see maybe three episodes a week instead of 5.
Also, a question about drama fever. First couple of times: no ads Then: 3 ads per ad time Then: 4 ads Now: 5 ads. Sometimes, they will run the same ad 3 consecutive times (that Ford ad with that song, blah, blah, blah, next best thing. . .)
My question is, will the number of ads keep increasing until you are literally forced to pay the 9.99 a month? Is this like the Sims Free Play or Candy Crush where eventually you are forced to give them money?

wiki.d-addicts.com/List_of_Dramas_aired_in_Korea_by_Network_in_2014From the above listing it looks like Melody of Love is the current daily drama - it is up to Episode 130 something and should be over this week at least according to d-addicts...so the next one should start soon - I have no idea if it will be available on the KBS Youtube site - however, I will try to look every day or so and check. If it does start maybe we can make that one of our dramas to discuss since it is the daily length we are used to. wiki.d-addicts.com/My_Dear_CatAs far as ads on DF, I was a 'beta' member - quite a few years now and have a good annual price.....

The current daily drama " Melody of Love" which is about end in Korea with about 150 episodes is a great idea. The episodes are all available on Youtube and also can be downloaded. This is a modern day drama. This can be easily discussed as if we are all watching on the TV on WMBC. Here are the links ... check them out.. asianwiki.com/Melody_of_Loveen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melody_of_Love_%28TV_series%29www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZBjLGdEpKYwww.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=Melody+of+Love&type=&sub=sub_english&sort=Plot People in their twenties are still young and immature in terms of their career or love life. It’s the transition period from the adolescence to the adulthood. People in their twenties mature as adult through emotional chaos and most of them are under the quest of finding love. Story of young adults who are full of passion for love and their dreams sympathizes with the viewers. This drama centers on three families whose members learn to appreciate each other, realize the true meaning of family, regret their misbehaves, and repent the hurt they've caused to other people after hardships and trials in the world where individualism is prominent. Gong Deul-im (Kim Dasom) is a tenacious, outgoing, and optimistic aspiring musical actress with undying passion to pursue her dreams despite against her parents' wishes. She will have romantic relationship with lawyer Park Hyun-woo (Baek Sung-hyun). Meanwhile, Han Tae-kyung (Kim Hyung-jun) is the leader of a drama troupe and musical director. He will be acting as a perfectionist, but a gentle and thoughtful man outside of work. He will be working closer with Deul-im and is best friends with Hyun-woo and Deul-im's older sister, Gong Soo-im (Hwang Sun-hee). He will develop feelings for Soo-im.

Cheaper then Crunchy Roll I think its $39.00/year and thats it. I've been a member since the onset....no regrets

What do you all think? grace - I also have been a member since the beginning - but now the price is $9.99 a month, I think....

To me the subs are better, they're faster and the premium membership is only $3.99 a mo.

Yes, it seems like it is over $100 a year to be a premium member now. The ads weren't too bad last night.
I think it will be a good idea if we find a daily drama to agree to. I like EC and Soybean Soup, but they are both over an hour with the ads, more than the 25-33 minutes we're used to from WMBC.

Used to be voluntary subs and I loved the comments in between. Bad thing is you can't watch in on TV and your stuck to the computer.

It's called Viki Pass and I think it started about 6 or so months ago. I think you can watch Viki on chromecast also I know that the samsung blue ray player that works with apps plays Viki.

I also like DF better as I can watch it on Roku on my TV... As far as a daily drama do you want to start with the new one hopefully on KBS Youtube in the next week or two? wiki.d-addicts.com/My_Dear_CatOr start with the one now that is almost over? wiki.d-addicts.com/Melody_of_LoveI guess some of the other Korean channels have daily dramas but I don't know about their online availability.....not as easy as KBS....

It makes sense to watch "Melody of Love" for a couple reasons: we already have episodes on Youtube and it is a daily drama of about 35 minutes long which is about the length of WMBC broadcasts.. and to make sure we do not lose out the Youtube broadcast to KBS vagaries we can download the drama right away. As for the new drama you are assuming that KBS will load the youtube videos and even if they do there will be a lag of 2 to 3 weeks. On the flip side, watching the new drama we will be current with what is being shown on Korean TV and also we would not be worried about spoil alerts because they don't exist. !! Let others speak for themselves.!!
my 2 cents.

I'm okay with Melody of Love......of course I like the idea of the one to come in a couple of weeks since it has to do with a cat....lol.....and since it is new there won't be an issue of spoilers.....if we preface our post with what episode we are up to it will help with that issue.....

I have been watching on goodrama.net. They break each episode into only 4 parts so there are less commercials. I would prefer something between 16-50 episodes. The 150 ep ones just seem to drag on.

Well, I'm here waiting for the 5 commercials to pass. I also think dramafever is playing on when I'm not watching. First, I thought I was falling asleep, but now I think it keeps going after I hit pause.
I'm willing to go to the shorter drama, I don't care which one. For the next couple of months I might have an hour to dedicate to K-dramas (actually, since I'll be out of work, I have about 16 hours, but my eyes will tear up from all the reading, LOL). If I get another job in September, I will not have a full hour, probably.

So shall we try Melody of Love - unless someone can find one short in time - about 35 to 40 minutes - and a short number of episodes....basically M of L seems like the Monday to Friday dramas we originally watched on WMBC - back to the days of Bizarre Bunch.....
