Their english is terrible. I don't know why they went with that subplot when this is going to end like most of the other shows anyway. With the coach leaving, I hope that's the last we hear any attempt at english.

lol, myoko, I agree...
And Saewa - what a schemer she is to have her co-worker spill coffee on Dojin's Mom and then offer her clothing......she certainly has an impeccable sense of timing. I guess she'll endear herself to her wannabe MIL......
I really like this show so far because of its comedic elements - Haemi as well as the cop BIL....I love Haemi's outfits - she's quite different from the other roles I've seen her in....

It is kinda embarrassing hearing them try to speak English, and I'm sorry but I smile a lot at those scenes.
Did you notice when Haemi did the 'Okay' thing before bumping into Piljae at the station in Friday's episode?!?!? Ha ha, maybe that's her annoying trademark. She's cute though.
I might be losing my mind, but it's not that I like Saewa or I'm taking her side now, but her cruelty towards Carl and her scheming to get with Doji aren't upsetting me at all. I'm more frustrated with Cookie trying to be the peace maker and delusional Carl still fawning over Saewa. I hoped someone would slap that out of him lol.

I thing that the lillte girl is so cute, I laughted last night when the girl said to Haemi that she looks from a movie "Terror Ghost" hahahaha. The coach talking to Carl about be out of the team was so harsh... I agree their English is so bad....

The little girl is what we call in Jamaica "Force ripe". That means she acts way too older than she should, ha ha.
I hope Carl gets it now, we know he has to choose Anna and then suffer in circles til he finds his silver lining. How else would they get so many episodes out of a simple, cliche plot lol.

I can understand Carl's shock and disbelief to an extent. 6 years is a long time.

Is Saewa in love with Carl???, but she dumped him because he is poor + a disable mother. Why did she ask him to choose between her and Anna last night?, hoping that he says I choose Anna, and be done with him... ??risky proposition that she came up with. I don't think that she even likes Donjin, just his money. and Little Chicken, please what a looser....

Yes, why do the English speakers talk like that? Even those that speak well, like the black guy in the early episode, spoke really slow and and ridiculously clearly. It's really odd. I wonder if they tell them to speak like a language CD. I can see the director telling them, "OK, some people in Korea may remember a little English from High School, so I want you to speak really, really slow, like you're their English I teacher back in 9th grade, even when speaking to other English speaking characters."
In real life, Carl would be much better speaking English than Korean. Not only was he raised by non-Koreans, he would have had 12 years of schooling in English. I had a Korean-American boss who was just learning the language as an adult. Even having (I assume) Korean-born parents or grandparents didn't really teach him the language.

Glad your power is back. Well, Carl was hit by a car, escaped from the hospital (like the liver patient in Bizarre Bunch) and crashed the wedding of the future lawyer and his dippy girlfriend. Future lawyer, as you recall, failed the bar exam because he couldn't get his underwear off. I'm not sure who knows this fact--some do and some don't, but I am not sure who they are. Dippy girlfriend Saeyong tried to bring a bed into her future in laws, but how dare she, because they are floor sleepers! Park Haemi is mad because the kimchi family didn't give her good gifts. Haemi called her stupid, which is not good parenting skills, but not inaccurate, either. Evil Saewa went to dinner with the rich family.
Evil Saewa tried to buy Carl's breakup by giving the money to Bongi. Bongi gave the money to Carl and he got mad, leading to the crashing of the wedding mentioned in paragraph #1. That's about it!

Good to have you back, Dodgerman.
Saewa doesn't love Carl. I think From the moment she went back to Korea, she promptly moved on. Man, I hope this was really it and Carl's snapped out of his Saewa-still-loves-me phase. I just want to know what's really going to keep them in Korea now,

www.dramacrazy.net/korean-drama/smile-dong-hae-episode-list/You can watch all the episodes on above site - I usually pick the Speedy Joe upload when it's available..... Welcome back, dodgerman! That wedding dress of Saeyong was quite a fashion statement - and she already threw him out of the hotel room - how many times have we seen that before on the first night of a marriage. ;-)

I could do without Saeyong and Taehun's storyline, I think, I find Saeyong's voice annoying. It had to take major embarrassment and prison time for poor Carl to see the light.
