Well, I wouldn't go so far to say he is a thug - he runs or owns a club and has to supervise nasty things sometimes. Not like the guys who perpetually beat people up......;-)

Two more to go - the time changes are annoying as you don't know how much time has passed since Mr Gu left Sanpo and now he meets MiJeong in Seoul both of whom look much different than before. Also now the dad is evidently remarried and seems like he had a stroke so who is running the business? And lastly, we never heard how Mr Gu started working there, did we? Maybe some answers in the last two episodes.
But I really like this one. Maybe Mr Gu and the son will run Sanpo Sinks in the future???

One more tomorrow. Gu is everything that a girl wants in a boyfriend---he is emotionally weird, he is sullen, an alcoholic and a borderline thug

I liked this a lot. Huge amount of comments about it online...not sure if more than usual but many sites had reviews, synopses, ending explanations....
