I'm intrigued by the comments about how something is unrealistic on High Kick. Huh? Compared to Jolly Widows, where a woman scraped off an amnesiac off the beach and took him to another country with no passport? Or on the Road Home and Happiness, where a woman gave birth and was told by her parents and in cohoots with an apparently evil hospital staff that the baby was dead, and the woman never had to sign a death certificate or anything like that? Since when have Korean Dramas dealt with reality? The scene where Round headed Dad cried over his lost job was one of the realest and most moving scenes I've seen. I could relate to it. And while a company would probably have a hiring freeze right before a merger in real life, this bit of unreality barely compares to the far-fetched plotlines of the last few clunkers on WMBC. As fo Miss Seo, she is annoying, but she is a comic-relief character. What I couldn't understand about last nights episode was how Stud-Muffin son suddenly turned into Justin Bieber with girls chasing him from other schools. that was odd--but very funny.

I thought last night's episode was dreadful. When the only plotlines of the show involve Farty fatman, Mom the Moron or Ms So Pathetic, it is bearly watchable for me.

The part with Minyong and Shinji was nice tonight, also the younger brother piggy-backing the older one around just to get some money.
I forgot to ask, at the beginning where we see all the characters being introduced, who are the 2 young guys with Yumi? Or have they yet to come on the scene? I can't place them. I thought maybe they were the 2 that were involved in teasing Ms. Seo, but I'm not sure now...

I haven't watched for the last 3 days.....Linda I think that the two young guys in the introduction of the drama are the brothers Yuhno, and his brother, some how they look different, I don't know if is the closed up or what....

I think the two guys are other students in the school that are in an episode from time to time....?
Gee, last night was a little too too....I agree the part showing the history of Minyong and Shinji was interesting - sort of sad that everything she wanted to do was more or less thwarted by him. Also cute with the brothers. But the farting part - I guess that's just not my sense of humor although it did show the devotion that the mother has for her son - she studied and found out what food/drink would be helpful for his condition and it did seem to work...but still.....
As far as the show being unrealistic, I don't know if we actually said that or not - I thought most of our comments had to do with just not liking various aspects of this latest show. For me it is a first comedy - I am more accustomed to it now but I guess the previous years of dramas, as unrealistic as they were, just had more substance to them......also they had larger casts and the characters were more varied whereas in this one it's basically one family. The family members seem more like comic book characters to me, not that I read comic books.....

I have been meaning to ask about the two guys with Yumi in the credits. I think the one on the left is the policeman who arrested Mom The Moron's friend. I havent a clue on the other dude. And yes Mara, the characters are all cartoonish whereas in the drams, most have some substance and are based in some reality.

Thanks everyone! I think I made out who the one to the left is, he looks like the student that was taking pictures of Yunho and Yumi in tonight's ep. The whole episode was ok tonight, phew lol.

hahahah, I think I'm lost, I took a better look last night I always though that was the brothers, but now I see you guys are right, I think is Beom(the director of the "Romeo and Juliet" play), and the guy who was taking the pictures. I liked last night episode, I think it was funny the solution for the play.....

That would be cool, Mara.
I got a good laugh out of Dr. Sunjae tonight! But they just had to ruin the episode with Haemi. When is she going to get cooled down? Augh, she's too disgusting for me.

Tonight was funny - between Ms Seo being afraid Minyong might kiss her and Grandma being upset at Haemi and having daydreams of what she would like to say and do to her.....I laughed a lot... Also at the end they showed those few scenes that were cut - they listed them as NG - I've seen that before - actually on the KBS annual Award Show. If you watch this drama online, like I do sometimes on dramafever.com, most episodes show previews from the next and often they show some cut out scenes.... Have asked a friend how to upload from DVD to youtube - will keep you posted.....

Yeah, it was pretty good tonight again. I liked the part where Sunjae broke down and was comforted by Fat son; another soft moment of Sunjae.
NG? I'm blanking out there, lol. In the out takes, looks like Yunho was enjoying that kiss from Ms. Seo that's why he was goofing off, ha ha.

I think NG means No Good, but I'm really not sure.......a couple of times I actually watched the whole KBS Annual Drama Awards - with no esubs....and they always would show them.....

Oh ok, thanks.
Man, that youngmin is a blankity blank pain in the neck, I tell you. He's giving Haemi a run for her money here with me, what an annoying tool. I was so cheering Minyong on tonight to tear him up. But I'll admit it was funny too, especially the competition in the bathroom.
I like how Fat son treats Yunho, it's really nice to see; and I liked that last scene where Minho joined them at the tent place. It was way better than the 3 bears thing.

I agree with you Linda last night scene between fat son and Yunho was really good. I think that fat son is a good actor for drama, not comedy. When he cries I can relate to him. The wife, please....The only scene so far with her that I liked was where her and the fat son were singnig in the hospital 2 nights ago. I think they sang good in English...
