Since dodgerman is away I have started watching two oldies - one is IRIS2 - after the death of the star in IRIS 1 I was too depressed to watch this one but I am now up to episode 3 and enjoying it. Also watching another oldie, Jewel in the Palace - but it's a lot of episodes - 50 -the star is the same actor as Saimdang...not sure how far I'll get

I really enjoyed IRIS 2....wonderful cast and the story was quite timely...I don't remember IRIS 1 that well now but this one seemed more action oriented and less romantic - I guess that's because I still remember the lake in Japan with the statue that I visited a couple of years ago....

Just watched the movie The Outlaws. It is based on the true story of the police in Seoul in 2004 going after the Chinese gangs. Very dark, very violent and bloody. It starred Ma Dong Seok who we saw in Squad 38--he is chubby and has a sad eyed expression. It also had the guy who was in jail and becomes friends with the prosecutor who was framed by the evil guy who killed his twin.

That's funny....after I got the Viki pass, I also saw this movie but decided not to watch it as I thought it might be too violent....thanks for letting me know, dodgerman....I do like Ma DongSeok - we saw him in a couple of dramas....

Watched a movie Whacha Wearing?? It was about a girl who dials her boyfriend for phone sex and gets the wrong number. It was definitely rated "R"---not only cursing, stuff about sex, but a steamy sex scene with bare boobs!!!!

That has one of my faves, Ji Sung, and Shin SoYul who plays YoungMi in Black Knight....that seems a bit unusual for kdrama....steamy sex...lol...Viki rates it NC-17, whatever that means....

I just finuished watching Just Dance. It was only 16, one half hour episodes. It was about a group of HS girls with issues who join the dance club. The lead girl is Park Se Wan who we saw as Pi the nerdy scientist in I Am Not a Robot. One of the other girls is Lee Yoo Mi is Mi Dal, who is Jin Jin's assiatnt in 20th Century and another is Shin Do Hyun who was in the con man's gang in Switch. The teacher of the group is Kin Kap Soo who we have seen in countless historicals. It was good but I wish there had been more dancing and the cinematography was better-- alot of scenes seemed to be filmed right into the light.

I watched the movie Will You Be There. It was good--a man dying of lung cancer goes back 35 years and meets his younger self. Together, they try to save their first love. What was really cool was the guy's friend is played by the ahjussi with the bald head and wild hair on the side(Kim Sang HO) and his younger self is played by the doctor who falls for the flight attendant in 20th Century (An Se Ha) and they really look alike~!!!

I watched a Korean movie on Netflix called The Bros. Two brothers return to their hometown for their fathers funeral. It had a lot of familiar faces and some very funny scenes. It was the first movie that I have seen on Netflix in a while that Lee Kyoung Young was not in.

Thanks! I haven't watched any yet but if you want to venture into non-Korean, the NY Times recommended Babylon Berlin (German) and Money Heist (Spanish)......and there's always Terrace House (Japanese)
Of your recommendations I watched The Bros....enjoyable! I like the chubby actor that we have seen a number of times.

I will watch anything that is halfway good. Since the self quarantine, my standards have good way down.
